In an epic performance on Fox News Channel’s “Gutfeld” program on Wednesday, August 27, beloved show co-host Kat Timpf returned to the air from her battle with cancer to comment on the horrible comments made about Melania Trump by Vanity Fair magazine staff, who are reportedly furious over the idea that she could grace the cover.
For background, Timpf revealed this past spring that she received news she had breast cancer just hours before she gave birth, necessitating exhausting anti-cancer treatment as she tried to recover from giving birth and getting used to having a newborn. As such, she has not appeared on “Gutfeld” as much as is typical.
Further, her commentary came in the context of reports emerging that First Lady Melania Trump will soon appear on the cover of Vanity Fair, and the magazine’s staff is freaking out. For example, one unnamed editor was quoted by the media as saying, “I will walk out the motherf—– door, and half my staff will follow me.”
The woke editor further added, “We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right.” That same editor also said, “If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it.”
So, it was referencing that meltdown that Timpf chimed in during her Wednesday appearance on Gutfeld, saying that it was absurd. Beginning, Timpf said, “According to a report, Vanity Fair’s new editor is interested in putting First Lady Melania Trump on its cover, and the magazine staff is totally fine with it. Just kidding. They’re outraged and ready to quit. One unnamed editor even whined to the Daily Mail . . . who knows if they’ll follow through and leave another employee said they doubt people would quit a prestigious job over it, or even a job at Vanity Fair.”
Continuing, Timpf continued joking about how ridiculous the whole situation is, getting in a joke at her co-host’s expense. She said, “I also, would they really have the balls to quit if they didn’t even give their name to the reporter? They didn’t even, they didn’t even say their name was Spartacus, missing a perfect opportunity for a movie reference that I don’t get at all because it wasn’t in Happy Gilmore. The truth is, threatening to quit over something like this is dumb, like when Greg’s contract talks stalled over his demand for a second helicopter.”
Further, Timpf noted that putting a political figure’s spouse on a magazine cover is hardly earth shaking, saying, “More than 77 million Americans voted for Trump, sure, some of them got lost on the way to the polls, but you can’t shut them out and pretend they don’t exist, and it’s not like the magazine’s publisher, Conde Nast has shied away from this before. Melania did appear on the cover of Vanity Fair Mexico in 2017. Michelle Obama appeared on Vogue’s cover three times while she was first lady, and Jill Biden was on too during Joe’s term, and Doug Emhoff, he was on the cover of immoral housekeeping.”

She then concluded by adding, “The bottom line refusing to work with people with whom you disagree is ridiculous.” Watch her here:
