WATCH: CNN Host Totally Freaks Out after Getting Called Out to Her Face for Dishonest Framing of Trump Policy

Things once again exploded in unintentionally entertaining fashion on CNN, with conservative CNN personality Scott Jennings sending notoriously liberal and accused liar CNN host Abby Phillip into a berserk overdrive by pressing her on her quite dishonest framing of President Trump’s crackdown on crime in DC and potentially other cities.

As background, the core of the complaint pushed by types like Phillip is that President Trump is “racist” in how he is cracking down on crime in Washington, D.C., and in planning to unleash the federal government’s agents on other notoriously crime-ridden cities like Chicago and New York City.

Kicking off the spat during the Tuesday, August 26, broadcast of her show “CNN NewsNight,” host Abby Phillip angrily declared that Americans aren’t ok with National Guard troopers being used to crack down on crime, saying, “People want safety and security, but I don’t think it’s true that people don’t care whether or not the U.S. military is [being used against] fellow citizens.”

Continuing, Phillip insisted, ignoring things like Shay’s Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion, that not using the military against gangs of lawbreakers is an “American principle.” She said, “I mean, I think that’s a general — that’s an important American principle that has its roots all the way to this country’s founding, and it’s also because the military serves a role to protect Americans, not to be used against Americans.”

Chiming in, Jennings brought the heat to sound off on Phillip’s dishonest framing of the situation, asking what sorts of people are so against law enforcement in America’s cities. He snapped, “You keep saying used against Americans. What kind of Americans do you mean? The ones that are murdering us, carjacking us, r*ping us, terrorizing our cities?”

Continuing, Jennings hammered how Phillip is framing the crackdown on crime as an attack on law-abiding American citizens who are normal people, whereas in reality he is smashing the criminal gangs who have overrun America’s formerly wonderful cities and made many of them nearly unliveable in certain areas.

He said, on that fury-filled point about her intentional dishonesty in framing, “I mean, you’re saying like he’s creating an actual war against American citizens, while [what] he’s actually creating is a war against criminals, and, by the way, illegal aliens who they are rounding up by the bucket load in Washington.”

Phillip freaked out and snapped back, trying to hide behind letting another commenter discuss the situation, then again framing the matter as a scary attack on Americans. She said, “Well, I want to let Elie [Honig] speak, but, I mean, look, I don’t — I’m not saying he’s creating a war against American citizens, but I also think that, first of all, even you have, you know, large amounts of armed military personnel on the streets, they’re going to encounter a lot of Americans who’ve done nothing wrong,”

Continuing, Phillip insisted that the crackdown on crime is bad because some innocent people might initially be caught up in the dragnet. She said, “And those Americans have rights, as do the Americans who have done things wrong, just to be clear. But Americans who have done nothing wrong will get caught up and have gotten caught up in this.”
