Far-left Democrat Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-TX) provoked a massive online firestorm after she admitted that half of her family is made up of illegal immigrants, highlighting her apparent conflict of interest in opposing Trump’s mass deportation agenda.
Additionally, many critics pointed to her previous remarks about feeling greater patriotism for Guatemala than the U.S. as evidence of her divided loyalty. On social media platforms such as X, formerly Twitter, users are demanding her expulsion from Congress via hashtags like #DeportDelia. Reacting to the same situation, a White House spokeswoman called her comments “despicable.”
In any case, Ramirez stated, “For me, who is the daughter of immigrants, who half my family is still undocumented.” In another earlier remark given in Mexico, the Democrat said, “I’m a Guatemalan with much pride before I’m an American.”
Reacting to these bizarre remarks, an anonymous X user quipped, “She can, and should be kicked out of Congress immediately. Her allegiance is not to the United States of America, that in her own words.” Similarly, Liz Huston, a White House spokeswoman, stated that she was”Despicable” and “putting Americans last.”
Reacting to these unacceptable remarks, Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI) slammed the entitled Democrat. He said, “It is deeply troubling to see a sitting member of Congress who serves on the House Homeland Security Committee, a committee dedicated to protecting our homeland, openly profess allegiance to a foreign country.”
Building on this point, Grothman noted, “While Rep. Ramirez was not born in Guatemala, and has never represented it in any official capacity, she continues to invoke her Guatemalan heritage in a way that raises questions about where her priorities lie. She was elected to represent the people of Illinois and the interests of the United States, not Guatemala.”
Continuing his epic takedown, the confident Congressman stated, “Ironically, Rep. Ramirez described herself as being from both Guatemala and Chicago. The founders of our republic understood the dangers of divided loyalties. As Alexander Hamilton warned, the survival of the nation depends on unity of purpose and loyalty; a divided heart is a liability to the safety and stability of the republic.”

Pointing out the obvious conclusion, Grothman said, “Based on her own words, Rep. Ramirez appears to lack respect for the Constitution and the principles that bind our nation. We must ensure that those who immigrate to this country fully embrace and uphold American values, including loyalty to the Constitution and the rule of law.”
Concluding his remarks, the Republican said, “It is unacceptable for individuals to carry the identities and political interests of other nations into the halls of Congress, particularly when our own country is already so divided. When lawmakers elevate ethnic allegiance above their sworn duty to America, they undermine the very foundations of our republic. Citizenship is more than a legal status; it is a commitment to the United States, to the American people, and our principles,” adding, “Without shared allegiance and a common national purpose, our identity is at risk – and with it, the security of our nation itself.”
