“Star Wars” Actor Known for TDS Reveals He Considered Fleeing America after Trump’s Election Victory

In an irritating and self-indulgent interview, Mark Hamill, known for playing Luke Skywalker and his liberal activism, revealed that he considered moving to London or Ireland in the wake of Trump’s historic victory in the 2024 election.

For context, Hamill complained about the administration’s so-called “bullying” and “incompetence,” but said that he wouldn’t leave the country, as that would let Trump win. Far from the only Hollywood star to oppose Trump, Hamill has become infamous for his embarrassing TDS rants.

In any case, the iconic actor described this reaction to the 2024 election in dramatic terms. He theatrically whined, about “The bullying, the incompetence, the people in place. … The only way I can deal with it without going crazy and wanting to open my veins in a warm tub is to look at it like a thick, sprawling political novel.”

Continuing his strained metaphor, the Star Wars actor complained about Trump in a tired list of woke issues. He kept going, saying, “It’s entertaining in a way because this could actually be the end. Our status in the world has been crippled, and that will reverberate for decades. Making Canada a 51st state? Do you know how offensive that is? And then taking over Greenland and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. The distractions are hilarious.”

Describing the majority of voters in a highly negative way, the out-of-touch actor said, “I still believe there are more honest, decent people than there are the MAGA crowd. If I didn’t, I’d move back to England.” Concluding his remarks, he explained why a conversation with his wife convinced him to stay in the US: “She’s very clever. She didn’t respond right away, but a week later she said, ‘I’m surprised you would allow him to force you out of your own country.’ That son of a b—-, I thought. I’m not leaving.”

However, some celebrities have actually gone through with their threats to leave the country. As we reported, actress Rosie O’Donnell, who has long feuded with President Trump, self-deported to Ireland in March 2025. Revealing the move, she noted, “I’m here in Ireland, and it’s beautiful and warm, not physically. It’s actually quite cold. Moved here on January 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful. I have to say, the people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming.”

Still not done, the irritating woke so-called-comedian explained, “I’m very grateful in the process of getting my Irish citizenship, as I have Irish grandparents, and that’s what’s going on, and that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing. And although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child.”

Concluding her remarks, she continued making absurd political accusations, saying, “And here we are. Here we are. I miss my other kids, and I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home, and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country. When you know it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”
