WATCH: Border Patrol Officer Roasts Gavin Newsom for “Tantrum” in Defense of Illegal Alien Gang

Speaking during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” a leading Customs and Border Patrol official went scorched earth on far-left California Governor Gavin Newsom, slamming the formerly Golden State’s governor for his allegations about Border Patrol’s raid on potential Tren de Aragua gangsters.

As background, CBP officers carried out an immigration raid in California that coincided in time and place with a rally being hosted by the California governor to protest the actions taken by the Trump Administration, most notably his anti-illegal immigration stance that has seen the deployment of vast resources to known strongholds of illegal immigration like the sanctuary city of Los Angeles.

After the CPB agents raided the rally, Gov. Newsom resorted to hysterics, ranting and complaining about ICE arresting illegal aliens. He said, speaking angrily about the raid during the rally, “And right outside, at this exact moment, are dozens and dozens of ICE agents. You think it is coincidental? Donald Trump and his minions, Tom Homan, tough guy, decided, coincidentally or not, that this was the location to advance ICE arrests.”

It was that response of the governor to a crackdown on crime in his state that CBP El Centro Chief Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino hammered as a “tantrum” when he appeared on “America’s Newsroom” on Friday, August 15, questioning whether sanctuary state politicians realise they’re taking the side of awful criminals, such as Tren de Aragua gangsters.

Beginning, he made the “tantrum” comment and compared the California governor to the Los Angeles Mayor and noted that both seem to want violent criminals prowling the streets, saying, “Does the governor or Mayor Bass, when they have these meltdowns, these tantrums like that, do they want those individuals walking the streets?”

Continuing, and emphasizing the gang connections and horrible criminal records of many of the illegal aliens ICE and CBP have arrested in California, he said, “Where’s the outrage [when] there are Tren de Aragua members walking with impunity on the streets of Los Angeles, or child rapists, or a whole litany of other bad people and bad things, bad criminals walking the streets of Los Angeles?”

Further, Bovino noted that 40 different law enforcement teams were deployed all over Los Angeles on the same day as Newsom’s speech and rally, so the operation was not targeted at embarrassing the governor but rather at arresting illegal aliens. “We absolutely targeted all of Los Angeles yesterday,” Bovino noted.

Continuing, he noted that amongst those suspects captured by the immigration authorities during the raid was a member of the highly violent Tren de Aragua gang. The alleged gangster, who was caught quite close to the governor’s rally, was apparently the main target of the operation.

And, dismissing the governor’s claim by noting the scale of the operation, Bovino said, “We have hundreds of law enforcement officers conducting that mission every day in Los Angeles. I know the governor said the time and the location.” He added, “The time is every time. And the location is everywhere. That location’s [going to] be where we think we need to go, anywhere, anytime, to effectively conduct that mission.”

Also commenting on the matter during an FNC appearance was Kristi Noem, the DHS Secretary. She explained, during a Thursday appearance on America Reports: “Every single one of our ICE and border patrol operations is built on information. On investigative work. It’s a case and an operation that has been planned because of who they think could be in that area and what they have for information that shows that there are illegal criminals there.”
