Mark Cuban Bizarrely Suggests He Might Run Against Trump in 2028

Famous billionaire Mark Cuban, who previously campaigned with Kamala Harris, suggested that he would run for president in 2028 if President Donald Trump made a third bid for office. While this is unlikely, as Trump has passed the torch to JD Vance, Cuban expressed disinterest in traditional Democratic candidates, suggesting alternatives like Scott Galloway, Jon Stewart, and James Talarico.

For context, Mark Cuban has often clashed with conservatives, such as when the Democratic billionaire made wild comments about Republican women earning an epic rebuke from Vice President Vance while on the campaign trail.

In any case, during his bizarre August 15, 2025, dismissal, he initially ruled out running but left the door open for a possible candidacy. Cuban stated, “I’m not going to do it. I’ve said the only way I would do it is if Trump tried to run for a third term. Because then that’s just changing everything, right? And that’s a true threat.”

Making it clear that this was the only possible way he would consider running for president, he added, “But other than that, I’m not going to put my family through that, you know? When I’m 95 and taking – or 105 and taking my last breaths, right? I don’t want to say, ‘Well, gee, I ran for president. Maybe won, maybe didn’t.’ But in terms of traditional politicians that we’ve seen? Meh.”

As we reported, Cuban has frequently made wild allegations about President Trump and his supporters. During the 2024 election, he stated, “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever.”

Continuing his biased take, Mark Cuban stated, “It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them, and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”

Enraged by this sexist and out-of-touch diatribe, JD Vance responded in an appearance at a Portage, Michigan rally. He stated, “Well, first of all, it’s insulting my wife, who’s a very strong and very intelligent woman and goes to nearly every one of my campaign events with me. And it’s insulting to Lara Trump, who’s done an incredible job as co-chair of the RNC. It’s insulting to Melania [Trump], who has the number one New York Times best-selling book right now.”

Continuing his epic rebuke, the future VP continued, saying, “I’m maybe especially grateful to have her today, because I don’t know if you saw that Kamala Harris surrogate Mark Cuban said that the Trump campaign doesn’t surround itself with smart and accomplished women, and I thought to myself, ‘well Mark, my wife is way out of your league. So is Melania Trump, by the way, so is Susie Wiles, who is running the Trump campaign.”

In another media appearance, he continued to defend his wife from baseless allegations. Speaking on ABC News, Vance added, “My attitude to these people attacking my wife is—she’s beautiful, she’s smart. What kind of man marries Usha? A very smart man and a very lucky man, importantly, and – and my view is, look, if these guys want to attack me or attack my views, my policy views, my personality, come after me, but don’t attack my wife. She’s out of your league.”
