Just In: Notorious Blue City Democrat Partially Resigns after Her Horrific Comments Take the Internet By Storm, Pushed to Resign Fully

After making a series of vile comments on social media, Cincinnati City Councilwoman Victoria Parks was forced to resign from a position on the Hamilton County Veterans Service Commission. Kicking off the scandal, Parks reacted to a recent attack where a white couple was brutally assaulted by saying, “They begged for that beat down!” earning herself widespread condemnation.

For context, her resignation letter expressed pride in her work, but neglected to apologize or address the controversy. Reacting to the situation, Councilwoman Meeka Owens condemned Parks’ remarks, emphasizing that violence is never an acceptable solution and urging restraint until the Cincinnati Police Department completes its investigation.

In any case, conservative influencer Libs of TikTok took to social media on July 30, 2025, to put the callous councilwoman on notice.  She wrote, Cincinnati City Councilor Victoria Parks allegedly wrote “they begged for it” and says she’s “grateful for the story” in response to a White couple being violently attacked.”

Nationwide attention followed and soon Victoria Parks was forced to capitulate. While still a Councilwoman, she has been forced to step down from a number of other roles. Announcing her resignation from the Veterans Service Commission, she wrote, “I write to inform you that I am resigning from the Hamilton County Veterans Service Commission effective immediately. I appreciate your appointment and am proud of the work the Commission has accomplished to improve services and supports to our Veterans.”

Reacting to the resignation in another social media post, Libs of TikTok posted, “BREAKING: Cincinatti City Councilor Victoria Parks has RESIGNED from the Hamilton County Veterans Services Commission Board following her disgusting comments about the victims in the attack. Not enough. She needs to RESIGN as City Council President. Keep up the pressure.”

Confirming this tweet, Denise Driehaus, who works at the same organization, wrote, “I am in receipt of Victoria Parks’ letter of resignation from the Veterans Service Commission. I want to thank Councilmember Parks for her service to the Veterans Service Commission and to our country as a veteran of the United States Air Force.”

Taking a more assertive stance, fellow councilwoman Meeka Owens condemned the vile comments. She stated, “Violence of any kind is never the solution. Council member Parks has been a civil servant in Cincinnati for decades, and her service is deeply appreciated. However, making comments that inflame a violent incident is never acceptable.”

Continuing her comments, the honorable politician declared, “As I’ve said in previous statements to the media, one of the most critical responsibilities of elected officials is to communicate effectively, and I believe that endorsing violence is neither effective nor responsible. Additionally, the Cincinnati Police Department is still actively uncovering facts. I believe we should wait until all the facts are known before making statements regarding motives or provocations.”

Concluding her remarks, Owens noted, “The Councilmember is entitled to her opinion; however, it is not beneficial to the city nor the region when she advocates for violence as a means of retribution. As Councilmembers, we are entrusted to serve and protect the city we love. Violence of any kind is never the solution. The comments of one lame-duck member of Cincinnati City Council do not represent the opinions or perspectives of the Council as a whole, and certainly not mine.”
