According to recently released documents, a Democratic whistleblower exposed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation that then-Rep. Adam Schiff approved leaking classified information as a way of harming President Donald Trump. The documents were released to Congress by FBI Director Kash Patel.
According to a report on the matter in Fox News Digital, the Democratic whistleblower worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for over a decade. Concerned by what he saw, he reported Schiff’s behavior, which he described as “treasonous” and “illegal,” to the FBI in 2017, and was questioned by the FBI about it as recently as 2023.
The released documents reveal that the whistleblower staffer was called to a meeting in which then-Rep. Schiff gave the green light to start the leaking. Beginning, that portion of the released document provides, “When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF.”
Continuing, the document noted that Schiff revealed his plan to leak classified information to hurt the reputation of President Trump. It said, “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”
The whistleblower apparently spoke out about the illegal nature of what the congressman was saying, but other individuals there chimed in to downplay his concerns: “[The whistleblower] stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information.”
Summarizing what the documents reveal and how crazy it all is, the “Clandestine” news account on X wrote, “These allegations from the Dem whistleblower are WILD. Schiff called a staff meeting, told everyone he was going to leak classified intelligence to harm Trump, someone pointed out that’s treason, other staffers said not to worry about it because they won’t get caught…WHAT?!”
Commenting to Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity on the matter, Just the News founder John Solomon said, “This is the first of several major leak investigations we’re going to see over the next several days. You’re going to see other major people that were clearly identified by the FBI, having leaked classified secrets.”

Continuing, Solomon argued that major change is needed out of the Trump DOJ this term, as during the first administration and the Biden regime, it swept these accusations under the rug. He said, “Their own staff turned them in when interviewed by the FBI. Nothing, again, happened. It’s a common pattern. The question now is, in Donald Trump’s Justice Department, does that dynamic change?”
FBI Director Kash Patel, chiming in on X, noted that the FBI had declassified the documents to expose the leaking problem, though he didn’t suggest that any prosecution of Schiff will occur because of this. He said, “We found it. We declassified it. Now Congress can see how classified info was leaked to shape political narratives – and decide if our institutions were weaponized against the American people.”
