WATCH: Tom Homan Puts Sanctuary Cities On Notice With Threats of Reprisals

In yet more good news out of the Trump Administration for those who want to see some very tough on illegal immigration policies, Border Czar Tom Homan vowed during an appearance on “The Faulkner Focus” that he and the rest of the Trump Administration would be taking action against the sanctuary cities that have proven such a thorn in the side of anti-illegal immigration policies for so long.

Such is what the Border Czar said when he appeared on Fox News Channel’s “The Faulkner Focus” on Wednesday, August 6, and explained to host Harris Faulkner how President Trump had vowed to go after the sanctuary cities and so they are now “on notice” that that is exactly what the Trump Administration has been doing.

For reference, Mr. Homan’s comments came in the wake of the AG Pam Bondi-led Department of Justice releasing a list of sanctuary jurisdictions, both cities and states, defining them as those that “materially impede enforcement of federal immigration statutes and regulations. ” Those cities on the list will be facing legal challenges from the Trump Administration, and may face funding cuts.

So, they are now “on notice” that they are considered sanctuary jurisdictions and will be facing the brunt of the Trump Administration’s legal assaults as it attempts to enforce American immigration policy. He said, “Promises made, promises kept. President Trump promised he’d take the sanctuary cities on, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Continuing, the Border Czar congratulated AG Bondi on having released the list exposing sanctuary cities, noting that they’re now on notice and will be facing reprisals. He said, “I thank God Pam Bondi stepped on this right away.” He continued, “We’re putting them on notice.”

Building on that, the border czar explained that it is not all that much that’s being asked of the sanctuary jurisdictions, as they merely need to alert the federal authorities about illegals they have detained or who are threats, saying, “When a public safety threat, illegal alien [is] in your jail, work with us, give us access to the jail.”

Adding that the federal authorities want that information so that they will be able to arrest and remove the threats to public safety who need to be detained and deported for good so that the American public is no longer threatened by them. He said, “Let us arrest the public safety threat in the safety and security of a jail, which is safer for everybody.”

Border Czar Homan isn’t the only member of the Trump Administration to have appeared on FNC to describe the threat posed by illegal aliens and sanctuary jurisdictions. Doing so as well was Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who appeared on “Fox & Friends,” also on Wednesday.

She said, commenting on how the sanctuary jurisdictions are putting Americans at risk, “We have extensive experience in these cities, in these states, and how difficult it is for our officers to operate and to do their work every day when they don’t have the backup of local law enforcement.”
