Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan has betrayed his party and announced his new allegiance in an article written for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The former RINO blamed the GOP’s position on healthcare, gun control, and immigration as his reasons for switching sides.
For context, he said that his decision was motivated by President Donald Trump’s reaction to the 2020 election. However, he was expelled by the Georgia GOP for his disloyalty, culminating in his endorsement of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
In any case, Duncan began his remarks by making baseless allegations against President Trump. He whined, “My journey to becoming a Democrat started well before Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election in Georgia.”
Explaining that his betrayal was a long time coming, the newly minted Democrat said, “There’s no date on a calendar or line in the sand that points to the exact moment in time my political heart changed, but it has. My decision was centered around my daily struggle to love my neighbor, as a Republican.”
Speaking to the kind of people he, for some reason, thinks the Democrats better represent, the former RINO claimed, “So, the reality is they have a job, just the wrong job. One that doesn’t offer health insurance or generate enough spare money each month to afford their own health insurance plan.”
Concluding his backstabbing behavior, Duncan justified his decision, saying, “The list of reasons why I’m now a Democrat continues to grow. Most importantly, my decision puts me in the best possible position each day to love my neighbor.”
As we reported, during the 2024 election, while Geoff Duncan was still technically a Republican, he gave over-the-top praise to then-candidate Kamala Harris, ironically arguing that the “country is so desperate for just a steady leader,” like the failed Democrat.

In any case, while speaking to Brianna Keilar of CNN Central News, Duncan lavished praise on the disastrous candidate. He said, “I think the most important thing she needs to do is just be a steady hand. This country is so desperate for just a steady leader that is able to act like a president, talk like a president, tweet like a president.”
Continuing his disingenuous praise, the former Georgia Lt. Gov. made the absurd argument that a Harris presidency would save the then-lagging stock market. Duncan hypothesized, “I really feel like that’s going to be a huge opportunity for her as these markets continue to go back and forth.”
Laying out how he thought Trump would fall to the controversial Democrat, the RINO stated, “You know, I think just acting like a president is a big deal. This has really been interesting to watch. I guess Donald Trump’s the latest illustration of Mike Tyson’s famous quote, ‘Everybody’s got a plan until they get punched in the face.’”
Concluding his remarks, the delusional politician described Kamala’s so-called energy, saying, “Last two weeks, Kamala Harris has punched Donald Trump in the face with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of fundraising with incredibly strong momentum and energy and messaging. She’s on quite the roll.”
