In the wake of news emerging that he had discovered “burn bags” in the FBI with critical information from the Durham Report that exposed, amongst other things, involvement from the Clinton campaign and Soros-funded Open Society Foundation in the Russia Hoax, FBI Director Kash Patel went scorched earth on the woke media.
For reference, Patel’s anger at the media came because he had long alleged that the Clinton Campaign had been involved with the Russia Hoax and helped ram through the Swamp system the false information that led to the investigation that so impeded the first Trump presidency. The media claimed he was lying, but now he had been vindicated in most of his claims about the scandal.
So, with the newly revealed information vindicating his position on the matter, Director Patel took to X to scorch the media for smearing him over his claims, noting that he had long been trying to warn the public about what the corrupt and weaponized federal judicial and law enforcement apparatus was up to. He then noted that he has been vindicated by the recently uncovered files.
Posting about that, he began by noting that he had been warning about FBI corruption and spying on Trump as early as 2017, saying, “In 2017/18, I proved the Steele Dossier was fictitious intelligence, weaponized by corrupt FBI officials to deceive a federal judge and unlawfully spy on then presidential candidate Trump’s campaign- all paid for by his opponent.”
Continuing, he noted that he was smeared as a liar by the woke mainstream media at the time, but has since been able to prove that his claims were absolutely true. He said, “The media called me a liar. Now I’m the FBI Director: We just uncovered burn bags/room filled with hidden Russia Gate files, including the Durham annex, and declassified them.”
Adding to that with another comment on much the same note, he argued that the media is still calling him a liar despite its having been proven incorrect repeatedly and him being vindicated by the evidence, syaing, “Once again, I released the prior FBI’s own documents and exposed the truth. The same media is calling me a liar again.”
Concluding, he vowed to release more documents of the same sort through the FBI so that the media can be further discredited and stripped of its plaudits by those who know the truth. He said, “Maybe this FBI will release more docs directly, from FBI HQ… so we can see who is lying- wouldn’t want to deprive the fake news of more bogus Pulitzers.”

While commenters were generally happy to see the media further discredited, many also demanded that the FBI stop just releasing information and start using its power to make arrests of the responsible parties, including some of the top-level political figures involved, like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
One such commenter said, on that point, “Documents released by the FBI are becoming the equivalent of strongly worded letters written by Congress… unless CHARGES, ARRESTS, PROSECUTION, SENTENCING, and PRISON follow— it is just theater.” Similarly, another said, “People need to be arrested. That is the only way this will end.”
Fortunately, Kash is receiving support from lawmakers this time, including ones who aren’t usually involved in these high-profile scandals. For example, Rep. Claudia Tenney appeared on FNC to discuss the matter and posted about it on X, saying, “The tentacles stretch far beyond Crossfire Hurricane. The burn bags are only the surface. This was a disinformation campaign carried out by our own intelligence agencies on the American people. The Durham annex reveals the Clinton campaign’s plan to smear Trump with lies, purportedly in coordination with foreign sources connected to Democrat mega donor George Soros. The FBI ignored it. This was a scam from the start.”
