WATCH: Gaggle of Angry Leftists Storms the Capitol to Protest Trump, Get Arrested by Capitol Police While Causing Public Chaos

In dramatic footage which was recently unearthed, far-left protestors can be seen lying on the ground of the Capitol building before being arrested by the Capitol Police. The leftist demonstrators, enraged by Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, were ultimately unsuccessful but disrupted proceedings and embarrassed themselves.

For context, before President Trump signed the OBBB on July 4, 2025, Democrats attempted to stop the bill by any means necessary. Many protesters tried to storm the capital in a series of theatrical protests; however, in every case, the Capitol police resorted to order.

Such was shown in a clip of the protests, which went viral on social media. In the dramatic clip, demonstrators lay on the floor and draped themselves in banners. Several of the arrested demonstrators were wheelchair bound, which provoked a massive freakout from left-wing activists and commentators.

Addressing the so-called controversy, a Capitol Police spokesperson stated that the organization does not discriminate. He explained, “We always restrain people’s hands when they are under arrest for everyone’s safety. We don’t deviate from that best practice because of someone’s age, gender, disability or any other characteristics.”

Laying out the simple rules, the Capitol Police declared, “The way to avoid the flex cuffs is to listen to our officers’ multiple warnings to not break the law and to lawfully demonstrate in the numerous areas of Capitol Grounds where First Amendment activity is permitted.”

Concluding the statement, the representative described how to avoid arrest, saying, “It is against the law to protest inside the Congressional Buildings…It should be noted that there are other places on Capitol Grounds where people can lawfully demonstrate without issue.”

However, far left activists, such as Braxton Brewington, spokesperson for the Debt Collective, were enraged by the arrests. Brewington whined, “Debt Collective members from Texas, Colorado, Alaska, Florida and so many parts of this country put their bodies on the line to ensure members of Congress know they will die without crucial social safety net programs like Medicaid and SNAP.”

Other melodramatic protestors, such as Analilia Mejia and DaMareo Cooper, who run Popular Democracy in Action, slammed the GOP for supporting the OBBB. Repeating classic leftist talking points, they alleged, “Every elected official and every voter should be disturbed by the choice to rip away lifesaving programs and policies from working families to fund another American war in the Middle East. We are urging our Senators to put working families first, and stop cuts to essential programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and Social Security.”

Another woke NGO employee took to Instagram to voice his complaints. John Schwarz, founder of The People’s Union USA, stated, “They crossed the line today. They zip-tied and arrested senior citizens in wheelchairs. This is not law enforcement. This is oppression. And every officer who took part in this should hang their head in shame. Every politician who remains silent is just as guilty,” adding, “And if you think this is acceptable, if you can watch disabled senior citizens get zip-tied for defending Medicaid and call that ‘order’ then you are the problem.”
