In a dramatic video captured as Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill advanced through the Senate, a far-left protester can be seen storming into the Senate chamber screaming about supposed cuts to Medicare. While they were ultimately unsuccessful, Democrats cynically used unfounded rumors that the BBB would defund the medical program to advance their political agenda.
For context, the video was captured on June 30, 2025, and coincided with a wave of astroturfed DNC protests known as ‘Code Red,’ which sought to mobilize healthcare workers. The woke organization told healthcare workers to chant tired woke slogans in opposition to Trump’s historic budget.
In any case, the short clip shows a leftist agitator screaming in a vain attempt to halt the passage of the BBB. As senators and their staff look on in apparent annoyance, the unseen protester yelled, “These Medicaid cuts, you’re awful!” before being escorted off the premises.
This protest coincided with a broader one organized by ‘Code Red.’ According to its website, “On Monday, June 30, physicians and health professionals across the country will take part in Code Red: A National Pause to Save Medicaid — a coordinated, 10–15 minute pause to sound the alarm about the devastating consequences of proposed Medicaid cuts in the federal budget bill (HR 1).”
Ironically enough, the protest organization describes itself as “A safe, nonpartisan, grassroots action to show how these cuts would hurt patients, especially those already facing barriers to care. We’re not walking off the job — we’re stepping up for our patients and communities.”
Included in the same document was a script provided so that organizers could lead a ‘Code Red Call’ with their coworkers. The script repeated baseless slander about the contents of the bill, showing that this group is anything but unbiased.
The script began with theatrical lines about the supposed cuts to healthcare funding. The document read, “Code Red. America’s safety net is flatlining. HR 1 would gut Medicaid, cut over $900 billion in care, and take health coverage from more than 13 million people.”

Still not done, the hysterical script continued, “Rural hospitals will close. Maternity wards will vanish. Behavioral health care will be slashed. We are physicians. We are healers. And today, we are the alarm. We step out not to abandon our duty — but to honor it.”

Using cheap tricks to make an emotional appeal. Code Read wrote, “We are here for our patients — For the child with asthma, the new mother needing prenatal care, the grandparent in a nursing home, the person struggling with mental illness. Medicaid is not a line item. It is a lifeline. This is not a drill. This is a Code Red. Congress must stop HR 1.”
However, Whitehouse Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt showed what’s really in the BBB. She explained, “This bill increases the child tax credit for more than 40 million American families, ends taxes on tips, cuts taxes for overtime workers like law enforcement officers, slashes taxes on Social Security for our seniors, and that’s just the start. We must pass this big, beautiful bill and usher in a new golden age for all Americans.”
