Far-Left Blue State AG Caught in $300k Fraudulent Spending Scandal

In yet another example of the monumental waste, fraud, and abuse being ferreted out, a new report has revealed that far-left Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell (D) spent almost $300,000 taxpayer dollars on things unrelated to her work as attorney general, such as world travel.

Such is what was revealed in a not particularly surprising but still infuriating report in the Boston Herald. The report showed that she blew through a massive $300k on her government credit card, which is paid for by taxpayers, doing everything from hosting a blowout holiday party to traveling to exotic locales abroad.

In fact, according to the Boston Herald’s reporting, the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent in the 2024 fiscal year alone by far-left AG Andrea Campbell included “expenses ranging from traveling to France and a balmy Caribbean island to hosting an annual holiday party,” all of which seemingly had little to do with being the Massachusetts Attorney General.

For example, AG Campbell loaded the taxpayer-funded cards with nearly $14,000 in spending when she travelled to France in July of 2024 for a conference with other American state AGs there to honor the sacrifices of American troops on D-Day, with it being unclear why they needed to travel to France given that they are AGs in America. The Herald reports that AG Campbell racked up “about $13,627 on state-issued procurement cards during the trip.”

Then, giving the exact number spent by the AG and her office on the taxpayer-funded cards, the Herald reported that it found, when reviewing the data, that they spent over $288,000. It provided: “Her office’s total spending with P-cards, or procurement cards, cost taxpayers some $288,146.26 last fiscal year.”

Many of those expenses were, as indicated by the France trip, obscene. For example, the woke AG used taxpayer dollars to spend nearly “$9,000 on transportation during the trip to France, through Avis Chauffeur, which ‘offers a range of high-quality chauffeur-driven services … catering to both individuals and groups.‘”

In another incident, AG Campbell took a taxpayer-funded trip to the very ritzy and expensive “Caribbean vacation destination of St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, last month to attend the Attorney General Alliance’s annual meeting.” Once again, it was unclear why they needed to spend so much money traveling to the highly expensive vacation destination, given that they are American, state-level AGs.

Paul Diego Craney, the spokesman for a Massachusetts watchdog organization called the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance, commented to the Herald on the insane and seemingly unreasonable spending, saying, “The taxpayers are footing the bill for the Attorney General’s expensive junkets.”

Continuing, Craney noted that the AG should be focused on doing her job rather than using taxpayer dollars to galavant around a ritzy conference junket, saying, “She’s reaping the reward for not auditing the Legislature, which got her a larger budget to spend on highbrow trips. The Attorney General should put as much effort into enforcing the audit of the Legislature … as she does booking out-of-state trips.”

AG Campbell has become infamous as one of the state AGs who has engaged in the most lawfare against Trump. For example, watch her defend birthright citizenship here:
