“We Cannot Run a Republic Like This”: Dan Bongino Releases Cryptic Post Seemingly about Powerful Figures Involved in Epstein Investigation

Federal Bureau of Investigation Deputy Director Dan Bongino once again took to X and released a cryptic post in which he said he had been “shocked” by what the FBI had found, seemingly in reference to the powerful figures involved in the Epstein scandal and resultant investigation. He said that the American Republic can’t be run as it has been in the same context, hinting that powerful political figures are involved.

As background, the whole Trump Administration has faced a great deal of pushback and public anger over its handling of the Epstein matter, with many particularly furious at the DOJ and FBI over a short memo released by the DOJ in which Pam Bondi claimed that there was no conspiracy lurking behind the Epstein story, just his gross predilections.

Most found that unbelievable, and sounded off online after it was released, leading to renewed vigor from the DOJ and FBI, or at least the appearance of it, in investigating the matter. Particularly, the DOJ met with Ghislaine Maxwell, who reportedly revealed a vast number of names of those involved in the scandal.

In any case, Bongino, who apparently left the FBI building and was considering quitting the Trump Administration over Bondi’s handling of the Epstein matter, took to X to give a cryptic update on what is going on. Beginning the post, the deputy director said, “During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening.”

Continuing, he commented vaguely on “public corruption” and weaponized law enforcement in America, the sort of thing he and FBI Director Kash Patel were expected to root out, saying, “The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us.”

He then commented on how shocked he is at how the American Republic is being run and who is involved in that horrid mishandling of things, a seeming reference to the Epstein matter. He said, “But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”

Then, giving more vague comments about what is coming, he vowed the FBI would conduct a full investigation “by the book,” to get Americans the answers they are demanding and deserve, another seeming reference to the Epstein matter. he wrote, “We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE.”

Concluding, he vowed that the truth will be revealed after an honest attempt at finding it, writing, “As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not “my truth,” or “your truth,” but THE TRUTH.”
