WATCH: Bitter, Fired ABC Staffer Goes Berserk Over Trump’s Assault on the Lying Media

In an incident that was unintentionally funny but funny nonetheless, far-left former ABC News correspondent Terry Moran went berserk over President Donald Trump’s attacks on the fake news press, declaring as he did so that the United States will lose freedom of the press if President Trump isn’t “stopped.”

Moran, as background, was fired from ABC in June. He had worked at the network for nearly three years at the time of his firing, which was precipitated by his posting an extremely unprofessional and inappropriate rant on X about  Trump and White House aide Stephen Miller. Now, Moran is bitter and raving about President Trump.

Such came when he spoke to former MSNBC host Chris Matthews about President Trump in the context of his recent settlement with CBS and its corporate owner, Paramount, over his claims that CBS’s “60 Minutes” had deceptively edited an interview with Kamala Harris in an attempt to make her appear smarter.

Particularly, the two clutched their pearls over what the settlement shows, worrying that if the already quite shaken-up media complex continues constantly caving to Trump as he launches legal blitzes against the outlets he dislikes, then America will turn into some form of dictatorship.

Matthews, broaching the matter, asked Moran if the situation would continue in this form, asking, “Is this going to keep going? Or is he going to keep going from network to network, to newspaper to newspaper?… Are they willing to be what they’ve been or are they just going to keep groveling?”

Responding, Moran ridiculously claimed that Trump is using the “playbook” of “authoritarian” goverments to attack the media, saying, “I think they’re going to, at some point, get rid of the news divisions, is my prediction. It will either be stripped from them—look, unless Trump is stopped, there’s a playbook here. You see it in all the authoritarian countries.”

Continuing, Moran compared Trump to a slew of Eastern European leaders, ignoring that the Poles and Hungarians freely elected their governments. He said, “[Viktor] Orban did it, [Vladimir] Putin did it in Russia and the Law and Justice Party in Poland — they stripped the media, the news operations away from independent corporations that will stand up and they sell them to their cronies.”

Adding to that, Moran then angrily rambled about the FCC investigation into ABC News over how biased debate moderator David Muir was, insisting that Muir had done nothing wrong when he took the side of Kamala Harris continually. He said, “Muir did nothing wrong, but because, you know, the law that governs these news operations and networks is that they have to operate in the public interest as defined by the Trump administration.”

Further, Moran insisted that Trump is going to use these lawsuits to “strip the ownership” of the media out of the hands of current outlet owners and put the media in the hands of his “cronies.” He said, “At some point, they will find a reason to strip the ownership of these things from the corporations that now own them and sell them to their cronies, unless someone stops them.”
