House Republicans have bravely subpoenaed ActBlue, a shady fundraising network for the DNC, which has allegedly violated campaign finance law by accepting fraudulent and foreign donations. The investigation, which has escalated significantly since it began in 2023, has exposed ActBlue for lax security, thereby opening up our elections to outside interference.
For context, ActBlue has failed to cooperate and attempted to defend its responsibility with baseless claims. The brave conservatives have given ActBlue until August 12, 2025, to produce a raft of documents to provide lawmakers with more information on the potential scandal.
Such was shown in a letter from House investigators, which explained the alleged wrongdoing. The letter read, “In light of allegations that online fundraising platforms that serve as conduits for political donations have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources, the Committees are conducting oversight to inform potential legislative reforms.”
Giving the shady DNC operation a deadline to comply, the legislators wrote, “To further our oversight and legislative reform efforts, on April 2, 2025, the Committees requested documents and communications related to internal misconduct and whistleblower retaliation at ActBlue. Although ActBlue initially provided documents voluntarily, it has since suspended its cooperation with the Committees.”
Putting ActBlue under a magnifying glass, the authors of the letter explained that there was no legitimate reason for the fundraising network to refuse their request. The document stated, “ActBlue did not provide a legitimate legal basis for refusing future cooperation with the Committees, and instead made baseless and untrue allegations about the Committees’ motives.”
However, despite this strongly worded demand, a spokesperson for ActBlue denied all responsibility. In a 2024 statement, the organization declared, “We rigorously protect donors’ security and maintain strict anti-fraud compliance practices. We have zero tolerance for fraud on our platform.”
These limp-wristed defences did little to deter eagle-eyed conservatives. The GOP Congressman noted, “ActBlue alleges that the Committees are pursuing oversight for an improper purpose of fact-finding for a Department of Justice investigation. This assertion is inaccurate.”

Firing away at the shady organization, the letter criticized the evasive response and established their authority, saying, “As we have explained, the Committees have a legislative interest in protecting the integrity of federal elections and upholding fundamental civil liberties by ensuring that online fundraising platforms are not vulnerable to bad actors, including foreign actors.”
Freaking out, ActBlue issued another whinging statement where they attempted to cast the investigation as a political hit job. Its response read, “Today’s action by Republican politicians in the Congressional Committees is the latest act of political theater by the party that just passed legislation that has gutted Medicaid, prioritized billionaires over the middle class, and that will lead to disastrous results for our country.”
Concluding their unprincipled freak-out, ActBlue desperately tried to represent itself as a legitimate political organization instead of a deep state operation. It whined, “ActBlue’s dedicated team sees this for what it is: a campaign aimed at silencing dissent and destroying our democratic process. ActBlue remains steadfast in our mission to empower grassroots donors and support Democratic candidates at every level.”
