“Schiff is In Big Trouble”: Trump Ramps Up Threats of Prison Against “Corrupt” Sen. Adam Schiff

Posting once again on Truth Social about the many faults of Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), particularly the accusations of mortgage fraud he faces over a scandal involving his claiming a house in Maryland to be his primary residence so he could get a lower mortgage rate, President Donald Trump threatened the senator with jail time and insisted Schiff would face payback.

As background, bank records of Sen. Schiff’s have revealed that when Sen. Schiff sold his home in Burbank, California, in 2003, he went on to purchase a home in Maryland, which he listed as his primary residence. However, he was still a California representative at the time, and so listing his primary residence outside the state might have been a disqualifier for the senator from holding office in the state of California.

So, many online have since speculated over whether the senator lied about the Maryland residence being his primary residence so as to get a lower mortgage rate from the bank, which is a federal crime, or if he was lying to California about his primary residence so as to keep his seat in the national legislature.

President Trump has repeatedly posted about the matter on Truth Social. Most recently, he took to the platform on Sunday, July 20, to declare that Sen. Schiff is facing jail time over his alleged loan document lies, and the president presented the matter as cosmic payback for Schiff’s threats against the Trump family.

Beginning the angry post about the senator’s new legal woes, the president alleged that Sen. Schiff had falsified his residence information on the mortgage loan application when he claimed the Maryland house would be his primary residence, and so is in major legal trouble. He wrote, “Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff is in BIG TROUBLE! He falsified Loan Documents.”

Continuing, the president hammered Schiff for what he said about the Trump family in the past, seemingly in regard to the Russia Hoax, arguing that, really, the Democrats had done what they accused the Trump family of doing. He wrote, “He once said my son would go to prison on a SCAM that Schiff, along with other Crooked Dems, illegally ‘manufactured’ in order to stage an actual coup.”

Adding to that, the president argued that the Russia Hoax allegations directed against his son, Donald Trump Jr., that were pushed by then-Rep. Schiff and others like him were totally made up, stating, “My son did nothing wrong, knew nothing about the fictional story. It was an American Tragedy!”

Contrasting that with the present, the president argued that Sen. Schiff committed a real crime when he allegedly lied on his loan application, and so should face prison time for that crime and lie. He wrote, “Now Shifty should pay the price of prison for a real crime, not one made up by the corrupt accusers!”

In another post about Schiff, Trump said, “I always knew Adam Schiff was a Crook. The FRAUD began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009, and continued through multiple transactions until the Maryland property was correctly designated as a second home on October 13, 2020.” He added, “Mortgage Fraud is very serious, and CROOKED Adam Schiff (now a Senator) needs to be brought to justice.”
