In a massive change of direction for the Trump Administration, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced an upcoming meeting with former Epstein partner in crime Ghislaine Maxwell, revealing that the meeting would cover specific individuals Ghislaine accuses of being Epstein clients or otherwise involved with the evil operation.
For reference, this is a major change of pace for AG Bondi and the Trump Administration’s handling of the Epstein situation generally, as at first Bondi and others in the DOJ outraged many MAGA voters by releasing a memo saying that nothing had gone on with Epstein other than his personal crimes, and that there were no substantiated allegations of blackmail or his being slain in jail by any hand other than his own.
That led not only to fury from the MAGA base, which demanded more transparency and answers about Epstein, as had been promised on the campaign trail, but fights inside the DOJ, with Deputy Director of the FBI Dan Bongino reportedly threatening to quit the FBI for good over AG Bondi’s handling of the Epstein matter.
So, that has changed dramatically as the DOJ not only announced it is working to unseal grand jury testimony about Epstein, but now is going to meet with Ghislaine to see what information she has to offer. Such is what AG Bondi announced on X via a statement that was written by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
Blance began by stating that the original, anger-inducing memo remains accurate in his eyes, but that the DOJ will not shy away from new evidence, facts, or uncomfortable truths. He said, “This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was written. Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
Continuing, he noted that Trump has demanded the DOJ take action to release all credible evidence of what was going on with the Epstein case, and that includes what Ghislaine has to say about potentially guilty third parties. He said, “President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say.”
Then, getting to the real highlight of the statement, he announced that the DOJ was taking Maxwell up on her offer of meeting with them to discuss those third parties. He said, “Therefore, at the direction of Attorney General Bondi, I have communicated with counsel for Ms. Maxwell to determine whether she would be willing to speak with prosecutors from the Department.”

Concluding, he noted that the meeting could come within mere days and the DOJ was changing its tactics significantly to get to the root of the matter. He said, “I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days. Until now, no administration on behalf of the Department had inquired about her willingness to meet with the government. That changes now.”
