America’s larger cities are getting more dangerous by the day. Home invaders, smash and grabs, carjackings, anything is possible under Democrat leadership. A big part of the problem is Democrats oppose guns and would prefer to disarm citizens. The problem? Criminals don’t follow the law and will continue to carry firearms. Otherwise, being a criminal becomes much more difficult. The dichotomy, however, is that in areas where criminals are emboldened by guns laws that restrict law abiding citizens, criminals get carte-blanche and can prey on the unarmed populace. Hence the spiraling crime rates in most Dem run areas. Recently in the post-apocalyptic hellscape otherwise known as Chicago, and elderly gentleman decided to serve some street justice and some hot lead to home invaders. Check this out.
An 80-year-old Chicago man was hospitalized Monday following a home invasion Monday morning in which he shot an intruder.
The unidentified man responded to a knock on his door around 10:30 a.m. in the 8500 block of West Catherine Avenue, the Chicago Police Department reported.

A knock at the door mid-morning shouldn’t require a gun. Unfortunately, in Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago, a gun is pretty much required around the clock. Too bad that Chicago and Illinois have ridiculously strict gun laws. They must be working since Chicago is so safe!
When he opened the door, a man and woman allegedly forced their way into the home. The man began fighting with the male suspect.
“The victim was battered and sustained several injuries throughout the body and was transported to Resurrection Hospital in critical condition,” the department said.

At some point during the struggle, the man, who holds an Illinois Firearms Owner’s Identification (FOID) card shot the suspect in the chest, police said. Both suspects fled the home.
It shouldn’t take holding an identification card to justify smoking a fool that forces his way into your house. Liberal states and cities would prefer the populace be unarmed, as that makes it easier for the Communists to take over the country. Thankfully this bad-ass senior was strapped and not afraid to use it to defend his home.
The male suspect went to a hospital in critical condition. The female was not injured. Both have been arrested.
Those possessing a FOID card are legally allowed to possess firearms and ammunition in Illinois.
Why are our larger cities so dangerous? Why should tax paying, hardworking Americans live in fear? The left wants the citizenry unarmed because that makes it easier to unleash criminals and wreak havoc on peace loving Americans. Requiring special identification cards to have a gun is straight communist stuff. The Second Amendment guarantees the right of citizens to defend their home and lives. Communists rely on chaos and lawlessness to sow the seeds of discord. The Democrats want to restrict gun owners’ rights, in effect fostering communism. Thank goodness we have bad-ass Grandfathers willing to fight to defend what is theirs, even if it means using the Second Amendment as justification, as if they need one.
