WATCH: MAGA Congressman Praised for Having “Effectively Ended” NPR with Brilliant Questions that Exposed CEO as Woke “Lunatic”

After MAGA hardliner Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) grilled National Public Radio (NPR) CEO Katherine Maher, one of his constituents was so pleased that they credited Gill with ending the controversial media outlet. During his questioning, Gill provided examples of the CEO’s social media posts to expose her far-left bias and pointed out that NPR’s D.C. editorial staff included 87 Democrats and zero Republicans.

For context, Congress has slashed billions of dollars in funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which allocates hundreds of millions annually to media outlets. The Trump administration has been laboring for months to defund this biased program, much to the chagrin of Democrats and their friends in the mainstream media.

In any case, reacting to Congressman Gill’s masterful demolition of the NPR CEO, one user posted, “My Congressman effectively ended NPR with this line of questioning. What has yours done lately?” indicating the widespread support for defunding the CPB among conservatives.

As we reported, during a recent hearing, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) criticized the woke CEO for her apparent political bias, citing her controversial statements. During the March 26, 2025, hearing, he revealed, “It’s interesting because a lot of your thinking, as expressed by your public statements, is deeply infused with economic and cultural Marxism. Do you believe that America is addicted to white supremacy?”

Stammering back a response, Katherine Maher choked out, “I believe that I tweeted that, and as I’ve said earlier, I believe much of my thinking has evolved over the last half-decade. It has evolved…I don’t recall the exact context, sir, so I wouldn’t be able to say.”

Continuing his expert attack, the Texas Republican forced her to answer for NPR’s years of woke reporting. He asked,  “Do you think that a few, few years ago, NPR educated America about ‘the whole community of gender queer dinosaur enthusiasts,’ do you think that that’s an inappropriate use of tax dollars?”

After the woke CEO blundered through another tepid response, Gill pivoted to another outrageous NPR story. Gill noted, “Your Health Advisor at NPR also stated in an interview that, ‘fear of fatness is more harmful than actual fat.’ Would you like to explain how fear of fatness is more harmful than actual fat?”

Building on Gill’s remarks, President Trump pondered the future of PBS and NPR, noting that he didn’t see a use for the broadcasters. The president stated, “We’re well covered. Look at all the people that we have here today. We’re well covered, and we don’t need it. And it’s a waste of money, especially. I don’t even know what DOGE’s recommendation is.”

Similarly, the president recently blasted NPR in a hilarious message. Trump said, “It is very important that all Republicans adhere to my Recissions Bill and, in particular, DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING (PBS and NPR), which is worse than CNN & MSDNC put together. Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement.”
