In a senseless example of left-wing violence, a Texas police officer was shot in the neck near the Prairieland ICE Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas, while responding to a suspicious person report. The wounded officer was attacked by multiple armed suspects who were later arrested by the authorities. Thankfully, the officer was treated and released from the hospital.
For context, the Trump administration has noted a 700% surge in assaults on ICE agents and, in reaction, adopted a “zero tolerance” stance. Taking a confident tack, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche emphasized the need for coordination with U.S. Attorney’s offices to prosecute those responsible for the rampant lawlessness.
Such was shown when Blanche announced, “We are closely monitoring the attacks on DHS detention facilities in Prairieland, TX, and Portland, OR, and are coordinating with the [US Attorney offices] and our law enforcement partners.”
Continuing his full-throated denunciation of the violent attack, he added, “The Department [of Justice] has zero tolerance for assaults on federal officers or property and will bring the full weight of the law against those responsible.”
Reacting to the case on social media, investigative journalist Andy Ngo said, “Texas — An Alvarado Police officer was shot in the neck after police were lured to the ICE facility by masked extremists in black who attacked cars and security cameras. Antifa and far-left extremists have been urging people to murder police & ICE agents.”
In the comments under Ngo’s post, conservatives reacted to the frightening event with a chorus of condemnations. One such comment said, “Let’s correct the headline: [Antifa] setup ambush, but fail miserably Now, can we lose the kid gloves and just skip the less lethal steps of the force continuum, and start right at lethal force?”
Hoping for a strong reaction, another commenter wrote, “Can we FINALLY go after them as a nation? Please? @realDonaldTrump can you make this happen? We’d LOVE to take care of this through any means necessary. They DO NOT attack our officers and federal agents on our own soil without getting unalived.”

Thankful for the officer’s miraculous recovery, one woman stated, “Thank you Jesus he survived. Heavenly father I ask that you put your angels around each and every one of these ICE agents for protection and peace in Jesus name Amen.” Agreeing, another said, “Our officers are the thread in the fabric of society. They hold us together and are always there for us. Lord, please lift up the officer, hold on to our angel in Blue. Walk with friends and family as they deal with this tragic incident. Lord deal with this upheaval that is tearing us apart. Stop shooting our Blue.”
Wondering when the authorities would take this issue seriously, one conservative said, “I’m glad they were arrested. Now trace down their contacts and arrest them, too. Like many of us, I’m sick and tired of these attempted murders against law enforcement officers who are doing their duty.” Agreeing, another user chimed in, “When is Antifa going to be listed as a terrorist organization and seriously investigated?!? We need to know how to destroy this ideology and who is funding it. They must be deported to some foreign country i.e., Sudan – Regardless of their nationality?!?”
