As HBO Max’s widely-panned, universally-hated Scooby Doo remake Velma gets trashed by fans and critics alike, the network is quietly shuttering another woke disaster that’s been steadily churning out propaganda the past two years.
The Gossip Girl reboot that resurrected a popular millennials’ television series lasted two years featuring, as Breitbart wrote, “teen drug use, constant attacks on Donald Trump” and wildly inappropriate “sex romps.” Breitbart reported that the teenage-directed show was done after two seasons.
The often porn-like, uber-woke Gossip Girl reboot aimed at teenage audiences has been canceled by HBO Max after two seasons of teen drug use, constant attacks on Donald Trump and conservatives, and teens involved in homosexual and “throuple” sex romps.
The ten-episode second season will be its last, show creator Joshua Safran shared in a post on social media. Safran went on to thank fans and stated that he hoped a different network might pick up a third season.
HBO Max’s salacious reboot attempted to harness the magic captured in the original run, which featured an anonymous teen writer exposing the private relationships of wealthy teenagers – that is, the sons and daughters of wealthy parents. The reboot’s synopsis stated: “Nearly a decade after the original Gossip Girl’s website went dark, a new generation of New York City private school teens are introduced to the unflattering reality of 24/7 social surveillance.”
Of course, part of what used to make television great was the fact that politics, especially identity politics, hardly figured into plot lines. Instead, viewers were treated to actual story lines, developed plots, and interesting characters.
Now, because wokeness is unidimensional, everything has to revolve around the singular trait of a character’s skin color or sexual identity. It makes for boring stories, since there is no longer an escape from real life. Characters are just hackneyed real-life vehicles to push increasingly toxic narratives.
Breitbart continued with its mind-numbingly horrendous review of the script and plot of the rebooted series.
While there were enough salacious twists and turns in the original series — which did feature at least two gay characters and a threesome plot — the reboot was downright debauchery with threesomes and casual sex coupled with frequent drug use. And, again, this series is about high school students and is aimed at the teenage viewer.
Coming as no surprise, the show’s creator, the aforementioned Joshua Safran, openly declared his intentions to push the radical LGBT agenda in his show. Moreoever, he wanted characters to be explored and seen “through sex.” Keep in mind, these are teenage characters developed for a pre-teen and teenage audience.
Safran said of the basic plot outline in an interview with Daily Beast in 2021: “It’s Hot Girl and Gay Slut Summer for everybody. For these kids, it’s the same thing — and you want that.
Safran also praised the inclusion of a “rim job” in one of the first season’s episodes.
“But for me, with this version, it’s HBO Max, so there were no restrictions. There’s some full-frontal nudity… My whole point was that, whenever there was sex, it was based in character. So, that rim job is a telltale rim job,” he said defending the hyper-sexualized show.
Between his and Velma creator Mindy Kaling’s obsession with portraying young people in this manner, knowing full well who the audience consuming this filth will be, it raises concerning questions about the mindset and attitudes of them and their Hollywood peers.
“There definitely are sex scenes. There are definitely sex scenes that are a little more edgier than the first time around,” Safran boasted.
Good riddance to this morally devoid garbage.
