In a high-octane interaction with the press, Border Czar Tom Homan blasted a woke reporter who asked an impudent question about the deportation of Salvadoran illegal immigrant Kilmer Abrego Garcia. Homan fired back with an epic response that left the reporter speechless.
For context, Democrats have been melting down since the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) deported the Salvadoran illegal immigrant Kilmer Abrego Garcia back to his country of origin. The DHS proved that Garcia was a known associate of the violent MS-13 gang and had their symbols tattooed on his body, in documents that completely demolished the DNC narrative.
Starting off the April 28, 2025, interaction, the unnamed reporter tried to get one over on the eagle-eyed border czar. She said, “Late last week, there were three US citizen children who were removed with their mothers, who were in the United States illegally. There has been a federal judge in Louisiana who was appointed by President Trump who said that he was concerned that there was “no meaningful process.'”
Finally getting to her question, she asked, “Are you concerned that due process, at least for the US citizen children, is being flouted, and that the speed at which the enforcement is being done could lead to errors, as was the case in the Kilmer Abrego case? And then also, if you could give an update on the deportation numbers under this administration and whether you’re pleased with them,”
Firing back, Tom Homan put the reporter in her place. He said, “I don’t accept the term error in Abrego Garcia, there is an oversight. There was, there’s a withholding order. But things have changed. The facts around the withholding order has changed. He is now a terrorist, which means the order set aside in the game was withheld, and he feared being removed… So the facts around that case are totally different. I’ll let the lawyers litigate that.”
Building on that point, he shot down her pointed question effortlessly. Homan declared, “But as far as the US three EOC kids, I’d said from day one that if you enter this country legally, it’s a crime if you remain this country legally and you ignore a judge’s order about itself, about deporting if you choose, have you a citizen child, knowing you’re in this country legally, you put yourself in that position. You put your family in that position.”
Explaining the rationale for Trump’s mass deportation, he said, “What we did is remove children with their mothers who requested the children depart with them. This is a parental decision. Parental, one parent, parenting 101, the mother made that choice. And I’ll tell you what: we didn’t do it. The story today is Trump administration separating families again. No, we’re keeping families together. So when a parent says, I want that, I want my two-year-old baby to go with me, we made that happen. They weren’t deported. We don’t deport your citizens. Their parents made that decision, not the United States government.”

Still not done demlishing the woke reporter, he pivoted to the human cost of illegal immigration. Homan fired back, “I don’t hear any questions about Laken Riley, who had a mother. She’s never going to see her child again. Rachel Morin had five children. You know, those children are never gonna see their mom again. This administration is doing the right thing. Every public safety threat we arrest from this country and move them to this country, the country is much safer, so parents will make a decision about what happens to their child.

Concluding his remarks, Homan promised that the open border insanity of the Biden-era was over. He said, “Having a US citizen child does not make you immune from our laws. If that’s the message we send the entire world, enter the country, really. It’s a crime. Don’t worry about it. Get the order removed by an immigration judge. Don’t worry about it. No one’s looking for you and has a US citizen child, and you’re immune to our laws; you’re never going to fix the border. People keep putting themselves in harm’s way. More women would die, more children would die crossing this border. We got a secure board by enforcing the laws. We’re Not Making This Up. We’re enforcing laws under statute enacted by Congress, and it’s the right thing to do.”
