In a fascinating appearance on the All-In Podcast, David Sacks, Chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, called for Congress to act on the corruption unearthed by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
For context, DOGE has been waging war on the deep state to end corruption, fraud, and waste. Acting on a mandate from President Donald Trump and the American people, Musk has exposed shocking cases of graft during his short time in government.
In any case, Sacks began his remarks on April 26, 2025, by exhorting Congress to act on DOGE’s findings. He said, “What we really need is for Congress to now embrace all the corruption that Elon has found and eliminate it from the budget. Because at the end of the day, in order to capture the savings here, we do need those appropriations eliminated from the budget.”
Building on this point, the prominent tech genius worried that DOGE’s work would be undone. Sacks clarified, “And my biggest concern is not something that DOGE is going to do or not. It’s not up to DOGE to do that. It’s up to, frankly, these old bulls in Congress who control the appropriations process, are they going to basically backslide and just put the spending back in?”
Laying out the facts, he explained the sacrifice Elon made to save America. He said, “Because it’s easier to just do that, to engage in this log rolling, or do we take advantage of this? I think incredible sacrifice that Elon has made. I mean, look, this has cost him enormously,” adding, “One of the reasons why Tesla is down is because you’ve had crazy leftists engaging in terrorism, firebombing Tesla dealerships.”
Continuing his argument, Sacks slammed the woke NGOs that Elon uncovered. He stated, “In any event, he’s made this an enormous sacrifice in order to expose the corruption. And look at what we’ve learned. We’ve basically learned that this whole NGO thing is a giant scam where, you know, the people in government give enormous amounts of money to their friends, probably with the expectation that when they leave government, they’re going to be next in line at the trough.”
Bringing his argument to a close, Sacks thanked Elon Musk for his selfless actions. He concluded, “And I think Elon’s done enormous service exposing this, but you know, it’s not entirely up to him in order for us to realize the benefit, we need Congress now to act on that. I’m just afraid that’s not going to happen.”

In the comments under the clip, conservatives rallied to the charismatic billionaire. One such comment said, “A few dozen GOP representatives in the House can unite together and force the GOP led Senate to embrace these massive cuts to wasteful and fraudulent spending – discovered by Doge – I don’t believe Elon will agree to anything less and he can lead the fiscal hawks in a battle with the corrupt GOP spenders – if the fiscal conservatives stay united – the corrupt Establishment will have to concede and agree to $500-billion of reductions in wasteful spending.”
