“Musk Is the Only Person Protecting Social Security”: Woke Dem Caught in Obvious Lie about Elon, Gets Called Out and Demolished Online [WATCH]

Fireworks erupted on social media after Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) published a video in which he spread baseless accusations about Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, conservatives were quick to fire back and slammed the woke Democrat for attacking the “only person protecting Social Security.”

For context, Casar is the Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which has over 100 members who advocate for far-left policies such as Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. The progressive Democrat has been endorsed by figures such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

DOGE, which was established by Donald Trump’s executive order, has prioritized government accountability and fraud. Specifically, the department has found evidence of impossibly old recipients, such as several accounts that were over 150 years old, illegal immigrants receiving social security benefits, and vast networks of benefit fraud.

In any case, the drama began with a video posted by Rep. Greg Casar, where he attacked Elon Musk. He said, “You can understand the whole DOGE scam with just two numbers. First number $8 million a day. Elon Musk gets in government contracts $8 million a day for himself. The second number is $65 a day. $65 a day is how much a senior who’s worked their entire life gets to survive on Social Security, $8 million a day. $65 a day.”

Building on that point, the bitter Democrat drew attention to Musk’s wealth. He said, “If they were looking for efficiency, wouldn’t they look into Musk’s billions of dollars, or the billions of dollars Big Pharma milks from the taxpayers, or the billions of dollars that big tech screws us out of, they don’t want to look into that because those corporations fund their campaigns.”

Concluding his video, Casar used theatrical language to try to convince his audience. The congressman said, “That’s not right. It’s not right. They want to come after programs for working people. They get their $8 million a day while they try to cut food stamps for the working class. While Elon Musk makes his $8 million a day in government contracts. He’s coming after your grandma’s $65 a day, while Musk gets his $8 million a day, he’s trying to shut down the Department of Education, trying to shut down the Department of Labor. ”

Responding to Casar’s overly dramatic speech, Scott Adams, a conservative commentator and cartoonist, pointed out a significant flaw in his argument. He replied, “Musk is the only person protecting Social Security. You left that out. Because without DOGE, crushing debt ends the United States. And quickly.”

Other users chimed in to support Musk. One lengthy comment read, “It took 118 days for the US debt to increase from $35T to $36T. The US debt is currently at $36.6T, and it’s been 129 days. It will take about 190 days total to go from $36T to $37T. That’s a significant improvement. It’s not enough, but, in theory, that day count should be decreasing, not increasing.”

Continuing, the same account said, “The longer it takes to increase the debt, the more time the US economy has to grow to offset it. It is unlikely a Harris/Walz administration which have achieved this trajectory. Nothing else matters really, because the world will become a hellhole if the US, which essentially funds the world financially, and with freedom, collapses.”
