Texas Governor Greg Abbott is continuing with his concerted efforts to expose radical left-wing faux compassion as merely empty talking points. Previously having sent scores of illegal aliens to Washington, D.C in general for inept mayor Muriel Bowser to complain about, he is now sending a powerful message to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Fox News reported that Abbott has sent a new wave of immigrants from the Mexican border all the way to the Vice President’s personal residence in the nation’s capital..
Two migrant buses from Del Rio, Texas, arrived near Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., Thursday morning.
Between 75 and 100 people who were picked up in Eagle Pass, Texas, were sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. The group includes migrants from Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico. Multiple migrants, asked by Fox News Digital, said they think the border is open, contrary to what Harris said Sunday during an interview.
Here is a look at the Fox reporters asking a few of thr newly-minted D.C. residents what they thought about the status of the border:
Reporter: “Harris said that the border is closed. Is the border closed?”
Illegal Immigrant: “The border is open…everybody believes that the border is open. It’s open because we enter. We come in, free, no problem…We came illegally.” pic.twitter.com/Ymk2blTcXt

Presumably prompting this latest shipment of human cargo to Harris’s doorstep was her bald-faced lie from Sunday’s talkshow Meet The Press. The exchange between her and host Chuck Todd was a masterclass in deflection and gaslighting. Ther Daily Signal picked up the back and forth:
“Would you call the border secure?” host Chuck Todd asked Harris.
“I think that there is no question that we have to do what the president and I asked Congress to do—the first request we made, pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship,” Harris responded.
“The border is secure,” she continued.
“But we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed,” Harris added.
“We’re going to have 2 million people cross this border for the first time ever,” Todd said. “You’re confident this border is secure?”
“We have a secure border,” Harris repeated, “in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration. But there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix, given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”
“We also have to put in place a law and a plan for a pathway to citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship,” she said.
Predictably, just as Mayor Bowser of D.C. complained that the red state move was unfair, it didn’t take long for the same deluded left-wingers to blame their newfound crisis on Republican leadership.
Brianne Nadeau, a member of the Council of the District of Columbia, was one such demented voice. Speaking alongside the mayor, she actually blamed the ensuing emergency on the like of the Abbott, who is merely exposing the problem of unchecked illegal immigration.
“So, it’s been said, but it’s worth reiterating, that the governors of Texas and Arizona have created this crisis. And, the federal government has not stepped up to assist the District of Columbia. So we, along with our regional partners, we’ll do what we’ve always done. We’ll rise to the occasion.”
Instead of having to rise up, maybe it’d be easier to solve the problem. Just a thought.
