Kid climate activist Greta Thunberg, whose entire life will seemingly involve living off others as she galivants around the world protesting one thing or another, was detained by German authorities for her role in demonstrating against a proposed expansion of a coal mine.
It is unclear at this time what prompted her detainment other than her presence.
NBC News reported on the situation by noting that several police in full riot gear were seen carrying the small woman away. Throughout the ordeal, Greta seemed more amused than distressed.
Video and still images appeared to show police in riot gear carrying away a limp Thunberg, 20, by her arms and legs in the hamlet of Luetzerath, west of Cologne and near Garzweiler coal mine.
Thunberg did not appear to be in distress and was smiling at points of her apprehension, footage showed.

“BREAKING: Greta Thunberg is detained by police during climate protests in Germany,” the embedded tweet reads.
NBC described the site of the protest as a “tiny village” that would help Germany combat its devastating climate policies. Germany has been without nuclear power for several years and is now heavily reliant on foreign natural gas for energy.
The tiny village has been a focal point of protests pitting the government against environmentalists.
Climate activist say the coal mine’s planned expansion would release vast amounts of greenhouse gas and violate German commitments to the 2015 Paris climate accord.
The episode of watching the smiling Thunberg harkened back memories of Democrat representatives AOC and Ilhan Omar during their fake arrests in July following tense national debate over the repeal of the half-centuries-old Roe V Wade decision.
The New York Post wrote of that embarrassing debacle how AOC was “roundly mocked” for her imitation of being cuffed by local police after her demonstration blocked D.C. traffic.
Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was roundly mocked on social media Tuesday after she put her arms behind her back to imitate being handcuffed following her arrest at a pro-abortion demonstration outside the Supreme Court.
The Bronx and Queens Democratic lawmaker was gently escorted away by a Capitol Police officer — along with fellow city Rep. Carolyn Maloney — after blocking traffic outside the court building.
AOC kept up the charade of being restrained for a few steps before raising her fist to supporters watching from the sidewalk. She then crossed her wrists behind her back again in the faux handcuffed position.
And also calling out the immature climate activist in a funnier moment was when former president Donald Trump took a playful jab at her following the announcement a few years back that she was Time’s Person of the Year for 2019.
“So ridiculous,” Trump tweeted. “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”
