Former president Donald Trump weighed in on the explosive politicla scandal involving Joe Biden, storage of classified documents, and Hunter Biden’s outrageous monthly rent in a recent television interview.
Speaking with David Brody on the show The Water Cooler, Trump explained that the difference between his situation and Biden’s was vasty different, not the least of which being Trump had different legal authority to store classified documents as president whereas Joe Biden as a former vice president did not.
Trump went on to note that the storage of each’s documents was also critically different. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is a veritable “armed fortress” replete with both private security and a secret service detail. Joe Biden had a supposedly locked garage in his private house.

“Mr. President, let me ask you about these Biden documents specifically,” host David Brody begins during the interview. “I want to get right to it. More documents suddenly popping up over the weekend. We now understand nobody has the visitor logs from Biden’s house in Delaware. Mr. President, I want to ask you point blank, is this a cover up? And should Joe Biden be prosecuted for this stuff?”
“Well, I don’t want to get into that,” Trump responded when pressed about Biden potentially being prosecuted, before addressing the issue of him having the classified documents. “But obviously, it’s a cover up. It’s a very sad situation. You know, he was coming to me – we have a much different situation I was President. I have the right to declassify as President, as the Vice President, as you know, can’t do that.”
“And many other things. I’m under the Presidential Records Act, which is for presidents and is under a very tough constraint. He’s under the Federal Records Act, which is a much tougher situation,” he continued.
Trump then explained how his home and Biden’s home are not even comparable in terms of their capacity to keep information store securely and safely.
“We had you know, we have literally a fortress here. You could say it’s an armed fortress,” he explained. “And Mar-a-Lago is built as the southern White House by Marjorie Merriweather Post and her husband at the time, EF Hutton, and immensely wealthy. They built it really as a gift to the country. And they did actually and it was turned back because it was too expensive for the country, which is interesting.”
“But it was built as an armed fortress, and we were locked, and we were ready. And we had secret service. And we also had our security, but we have secret service there at all times.
So you know, it’s a much different situation. Now I see that they have their classified documents on there sitting on the floor and a big pile in a garage some place. And that’s a big problem, I think for them,” he continued.
Trump then observed how he and his team are “investigation central” – Russian collusion, impeachment, tax returns, etc. all come to mind – and Biden hardly gets a glance sideways from federal agencies.
“I don’t know. It’d be nice if all the investigations could stop because we’re like investigation central in this country. No country in the world has anything like this. You want to make America great again. And it’s nonsense. It’s just, you know, it never ends,” he said.
“But it’s a problem. There’s no question about it. He’s got and now they’re saying there are many other places that he stored documents. And it brings Obama into the picture, as you can imagine, because the documents, early Obama documents, is from the Obama administration, and now I guess they’re getting him involved. How come he allowed that to happen?” the former president concluded.
