DOGE Ends Millions in NIH Funding for Research into Male Pregnancy, Structural Racism

The Department of Government Efficiency( DOGE) issued a new update in its ongoing audit of the National Institute of Health(NIH).  This has been a major focus for the department, and DOGE has issued updates on its findings weekly on X. Their most recent post, made on March 11, 2025, announced the cancellation of several grants studying woke topics.

According to their post, DOGE has saved over $2.1 million by ending the grants. In response to the news, social media users took to the comments section to celebrate. This is not the first time DOGE has gone after waste at the NIH. DOGE has made a number of posts chronicling their efforts to clear out the corruption in grants and funding.

DOGE’s initial post read, “Today, @NIH cancelled the following grants: – $620K for “an LGB+ inclusive teen pregnancy prevention program for transgender boys” – $699K for studying “cannabis use” among “sexual minority gender diverse individuals” – $740K for examining “social networks” among “black and Latino sexual minority men in New Jersey” – $50K for assessing “sexual health” among “LGTBQ+ Latinx youth in an agricultural community” – $75K for researching “structural racism.'”

In a previous post to social media, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced a funding cut to the National Institute of Health (NIH). They explained that millions of dollars had been spent on brutal experiments that exposed animals to transgender type surgeries.

Their post read, “Yesterday, @NIH cancelled seven grants for transgender experiments on animals including: – $532K to “use a mouse model to investigate the effects of cross-sex testosterone treatment” – $33K to test “feminizing hormone therapy in the male rat,” the Department posted to their X account. The agency made their own post, reacting to the news.

The NIH responded in a post that stated, “NIH remains committed to advancing biomedical research under NIH’s priorities and promoting radical transparency in alignment with the @POTUS agenda. Our work is driven by accountability to all Americans as we push forward in science and public health. “ Social media erupted in controversy after the news broke.

Many users objected to the wasteful NIH spending. One reply read, “Everyone should be cheering for DOGE. The left-wing media propaganda makes it seem like DOGE is getting rid of “Medicaid” for the elderly & children.. Reality: DOGE is only cutting funding for DEI, LGBTQ, money laundering schemes & other degenerate forms of spending.”

Another said, “The best part about these canceled contracts? Nothing of value was lost. Not one essential service, not one necessary program—just millions of dollars in bureaucratic waste that never should have existed in the first place.” One commenter wrote, “Do you know what is really messed up? The fact that a 740k cut seems small after all of the absolutely ridiculous expenditures from our government that have been cut. 740k is a lot of money, and it’s sad that our government spends that level of money like its pocket change.”
