Trump Goes on Offensive against “Dictator without Elections” Zelensky as US-Ukraine Rift Widens

Commenting on the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a post on his Truth Social social media platform, President Donald Trump sounded off on his governmental policies, particularly his refusal to hold elections during the war and his vast expenditure of American money on a “war that couldn’t be won.”

The comments from President Trump come amidst a widening rift between the United States and Ukraine since Trump won the election, with Trump and most of MAGA wanting the war to end in some sort of settlement so that the massive expense of it ends and there is no longer the specter of a potentially nuclear WWIII hanging over the world.

Beginning his post, Trump commented on the vast expense of the unwinnable war, saying, “Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and “TRUMP,” will never be able to settle.”

Continuing, Trump noted that the Europeans made loans to Zelensky guaranteed by large amounts of Ukrainian resources, whereas we simply gave the Ukrainians money. He said, on that point, “The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe’s money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back.”

Trump further indicated that he sees the poorly spent money as having been swindled, saying. “Why didn’t Sleepy Joe Biden demand Equalization, in that this War is far more important to Europe than it is to us — We have a big, beautiful Ocean as separation. On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is ‘MISSING.’”

Then, ripping Zelensky as a “dictator without elections,” Trump said that he needs to achieve an end to the war quickly so that Russia doesn’t take the whole country. He wrote, “He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden “like a fiddle.” A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left.”

Turning to the war itself and his administration’s approach to it, Trump said that he is trying to negotiate a peace deal with Russia and sees what has happened so far as a success. He wrote, In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only “TRUMP,” and the Trump Administration, can do.”

Concluding his statement, Trump commented on Biden’s incompetence and the vast human toll of the ar, saying, “Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the “gravy train” going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues…..”

Zelensky, for his part, has attached Trump as well, saying that he lives ina “disinformation space.” He said, “Unfortunately, President Trump — I have great respect for him as a leader of a nation that we have great respect for, the American people who always support us—– unfortunately lives in this disinformation space.”
