“Dishonesty”: Tarlov Tries Attacking Trump Online by Blaming Him for Biden’s Mistakes, Instantly Regrets It

In a very funny series of interactions on X (formerly Twitter), Fox News Channel token leftist personality Jessica Tarlov, known mainly for her fights with Greg Gutfeld, went berserk over President Trump’s priorities and tried framing him as being responsible for the economic conditions that the Biden Regime created.

Tarlov’s comments came in response to a post from CNN’s Harry Enten, who said, “If Trump’s not careful, inflation will crush his presidency. Inflation will eat his presidency alive just like it ate Biden’s. Inflation is the number 1 thing Americans say Trump should be focused on, but most Americans (66%) say Trump isn’t focused enough on inflation.”

Responding, Tarlov attacked Trump’s tendency to play golf to relax and do deals, his use of tariffs to protect domestic industry, and his renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. She snapped, on that point, “Golf, Gulf of America and tariffs aren’t bringing down inflation…who knew?!”

Predictably, she got utterly torched by commenters who were upset that she is blaming Trump for conditions that President Biden created. One commenter on her post, for example, said, “It’s been 4 weeks potato, the inflation is from your guy Biden. Nice try though. @greggutfeld come get your girl.”

Another commenter slammed Tarlov for not caring about the achievements the Trump Administration has already made, saying, “Nice of you leave out ending wars in Ukraine and Gaza and getting prisoners released from Russia and Gaza. You embarrass yourself repeating the looser democrat talking points. Viewers of @TheFive expect better Jessica.”

Yet another commenter hammered her as being utterly dishonest with her framing and argued that such dishonesty is the very reason that Americans find pundits like Tarlov quite tiresome. That commenter said, “Inflation data is for 10 1/2 days of Trump’s term. There is a reason why people despise pundits like yourself. Dishonesty and thinking people are stupid is just one of them.”

A quote tweeter of Tarlov’s post said that horrible takes like this one from her are the reason he quite watching Fox, writing, “Easily hands down a Grade A reason I quit watching Fox News a long time ago and switched over to NewsMax because of you saying stupid stuff like this. I hope you’re happy when Fox News’ viewership ratings CONTINUE to go down the drain.”

In another funny interaction stemming from the post, podcast host Michele Tafoya wrote, “I genuinely respect @JessicaTarlov … But she knows better than this.” Tarlov, responding, snapped, “Hey @Michele_Tafoya – while I appreciate that you continue to at least pretend to respect me, in this instance it’s not about ‘me knowing better.’ The data is showing 66% of Americans think he’s not focused on inflation. Maybe we’ve all got it wrong, but that’s a lot of ppl to be off base.”

Tafoya responded by saying, “I am not pretending, @JessicaTarlov . I respect how you hold your own on @TheFive. But after 3.5 weeks, you’re willing to blame the rise in inflation on the new admin? That is where you should know better. For 4 years your party told us inflation was “transitory,” etc. But after four weeks, it’s now the fault of the White House?”

Tarlov, responding again, snapped, “Hi @Michele_Tafoya- I continually talked about how persistent inflation was a problem, people were upset at prices, etc. Of course it’s not all Trump’s fault! But if 66% say he’s not focused on it enough doesn’t that suggest an issue? Also, tax cuts and trade wars are inflationary.” Watch the video from Enten that started the blow up here:
