A Customs and Border Protection officer was recently arrested in El Paso on criminal charges surrounding his alleged involvement in smuggling illegal immigrants and drugs across the southern border with Mexico. Court documents allege that Manuel Perez Jr., 32, of El Paso, partook in human and narcotics trafficking for personal gain.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, in multiple instances, Perez allowed a vehicle driven by an illegal alien at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso to enter the United States as part of a human smuggling operation. Furthermore, Perez is accused of conspiring to possess a substance containing at least 5kg of cocaine to be distributed throughout the country.
The popular X account Tom Homan – Border Czar |News by Independent MAGA| (with no affiliation to the real Tom Homan), reported on the news. “New in Texas: A Border Patrol agent has officially turned his back on America! Agent Manuel Perez Jr. of El Paso has officially been arrested. He has charges linked to human and c*caine smuggling. The arrest was by the FBI’s El Paso West Texas Border Corruption Task Force while Perez was still in uniform,” the account wrote.
The account further noted, “From November 2019 until the current now, Perez is allegedly to have been part of a conspiracy that involved smuggling over five kilograms of c*caine across Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, and other states. He is also accused of facilitating the crossings of illegal aliens at the Paso Del Norte Bridge. He now faces 10 years to life in prison!”
The MAGA news account replied to a prior post about substantial drug busts in Texas. “New in Texas: This is definitely worth a MAGA Reports shoutout! Over $1.4 million worth of coc*ine was found in a single bust coming into the United States,” the post read.
The border czar news account further wrote, “A 2013 Freightliner tractor hauling a fuel tanker was brought in for a secondary inspection at the Camino Real International Bridge between Texas and Mexico. Border Patrol K-9s were brought in to help with the search. That’s when they discovered 42 packages containing a total of 108.29 pounds hidden within the tractor!”
“I think we can all agree that finding this much in one single load coming into America further proves that someone under the Biden administration could have easily been getting paid off. Under President Trump, we are continually pushing to better America’s Border Patrol agents which prioritizes the safety of all Americans!” the independent news account concluded.
