During a particularly awesome moment in her White House Press Briefing on Tuesday, January 28, the Trump Administration’s White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, left one woke reporter speechless by taking a deliberately unrepentant and hard line about illegal immigration, saying that everyone here illegally will be deported.
That came when she was asked about who will be deported by the Trump Administration, with the reporter seemingly seeking an apology for the deportations of illegal immigrants who were here without committing additional crimes after entering illegally, rather than the ones who commit other crimes once here.
Leavitt, however, didn’t back down. Instead of bending like a willow in the wind and saying the government would only go after career criminals, drug cartel members, and the like, as some softer on immigration would, she stood by this administration’s stance and said that everyone here illegally would be deported because they broke laws getting her.
In any case, the reporter who kicked off the epic moment did so by asking for details on deportations, saying, “Of the 3,500 arrests ICE has made so far since President Trump came back into office, can you just tell us the numbers? How many have a criminal record versus those who are just in the country illegally.”
Leavitt, responding, took an extremely touch stance. She told the whole nation that all those here illegally will be treated like the criminals they are, saying, “All of them, because they illegally broke our nation’s laws, and, therefore, they are criminals, as far as this administration goes.”
Continuing, she noted that the Biden Administration obviously thought otherwise, but the Trump Administration is all in on deporting everyone who ought be deported. She said, “I know the last administration didn’t see it that way, so it’s a big culture shift in our nation to view someone who breaks our immigration laws as a criminal. But that’s exactly what they are.” Watch her here:

At another point, Leavitt was asked, “Does the president intend to permanently cut off funding to NGOs that are bringing illegal foreign nationals to the country, such as Catholic Charities?” She responded, “I am actually quite certain that the president signed an executive order that did just that, and I can point you to that.”
She was also asked, “Thanks a lot, Karoline. As you know, in the first week that the president was in office, signed an executive order as it relates to birthright citizenship — trying to eliminate that. Now, 22 state attorney generals have said that this is unconstitutional. A federal judge has just agreed with their argument. What’s the administration’s argument for doing away with birthright citizenship?”
She responded, “The folks that you mentioned have a right to have that legal opinion, but it is in disagreement with the legal opinion of this administration. This administration believes that birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, and that is why President Trump signed that executive order. Illegal immigrants who come to this country and have a child are not subject to the laws of this jurisdiction. That’s the opinion of this administration.”
