“If they weren’t the crime family, why do they need pardons?”: Speaker Johnson Exposes Biden Crime Family via “Disgusting” Pardons [WATCH]

Speaking on Wednesday, January 22, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson commented on President Joe Biden’s last-minute, sweeping presidential pardons for members of his family. Commenting on the pardons, which Johnson said were “shocking” and “disgusting,” the House Speaker noted that they appear to show the truth about the “Biden Crime Family.”

Beginning his comments during the weekly press conference the House GOP leadership does, Speaker Johnson noted that it was utterly shocking that the President would pardon his family for all illegal activity in the past decade, saying, “It was shocking. I mean, it was shocking what President Biden did on the way out, pardoning his family for more than a decade of whatever activity, any nonviolent offenses. It was breathtaking to us.”

Continuing, the Speaker of the House noted that when President Trump was reportedly considering such a move the Democrats went ballistic. He said, “I don’t think that’s anything like that’s ever been anticipated. And by the way, go look at the tape. You know, four years ago when it was just implied that President Trump might do something similar, they were apoplectic.”

Giving some examples of that freakout from the left, he pointed to Democrat leadership going on air to screech about Trump pardoning his family in such a way as Biden just did, saying, “Joe Biden himself, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, roll the tape. They all said that would be crazy and unconscionable. And now they’re cheering it along.”

That’s when Speaker Johnson got to his point about the Biden Crime Family, saying that the pardons prove the point that the Biden Family was up to come very illegal activity for which it feared prosecution. He said, “To us, it is disgusting. To us, it probably proves the point. The suspicion that, you know, they call it the Biden crime family. If they weren’t the crime family, why do they need pardons? Right?”

Continuing, he noted that the House will be paying attention to the pardons and what activity amongst the Biden family members was going on in the background that led to them, saying, “Look, there’s a lot of attention that’s going to be paid to this. And I think that is appropriate. And we will be looking at it as well.” Watch him here:

Former President Biden, explaining the pardons for James Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John Owens, and Francis Biden in a statement, said, “I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families.”

Continuing, he suggested that financial motives were at play in any potential investigation of his numerous family members suspected of illegal activity, namely influence peddling, saying, “Even when individuals have done nothing wrong and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage their reputations and finances.”
