Social media users praised First Lady Melania Trump for her fashionable appearances throughout the inauguration weekend as her husband prepared to be sworn in. Melania has always been held in high regard for her elegance and sense of style, which are demonstrated every time she steps out into public. Particularly in recent months, the First Lady has become a source of inspiration for women around the country.
Founder of Evie Magazine and 28 Wellness Brittany Hugoboom shared a photo of Melania on X, showing her standing for a ceremony, wearing a black overcoat and designer shoes. Hugoboom captioned the post, “Melania Trump is back in her louboutins. Making America Hot Again.” The post garnered a massive reaction from supporters of the first lady.
Echoing a widespread comparison of Melania to former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, one user wrote, “Her and Jackie Kennedy are the most stylish first ladies…but I like Eleanor Roosevelt too.She was smart.” Proving that Melania’s transcends politics and unites Americans, one user said, “I have some issues with the impending administration but Melania looks flawless.”
The American Tribune also reported on Melania’s stunning appearance on Inauguration Day, writing that “First Lady Melania Trump, was already dropping jaws in person and online with her impeccable fashion taste and natural beauty. Some online were quick to point out that her tasteful outfit had been custom-designed by American fashion designers.”
“First Lady Melania Trump wore a custom double-breasted navy coat by Adam Lippes and a matching boater hat by Eric Javits, both American designers, for this morning’s church services as part of Inauguration ceremonies. She completed this impeccable look with black leather gloves and dark blue suede Manolo Blahnik pumps. Melania’s look perfectly coordinated with her husband’s navy coat,” THE FLOTUS Report account wrote on X.
In the days leading up to the highly anticipated inauguration, The Tribune reported on comments from Melania about the intense planning with moving back into the White House. The first lady explained that the transition team only has 5 hours to move the Bidens out and them in. However, Melania explained that they know what they are doing given their prior experience.

Explaining how it will be different compared to 2017, Melania told Fox News, “The first time was challenging. We didn’t have much of the information. The information was upheld for us from the previous administration. But this time I have everything. I have the plans I could move in. I already packed, I already selected the furniture that needs to go in. So it’s, it’s a very different transition this time, the second time around.”
Melania then explained the tight window the transition team is working with, requiring extreme attention to detail. “So what happened is, on January 20, the transition team has only five hours to move Biden’s out and to move us in,” Melania said, before illustrating the micromanagement that must occur. “So everything needs to be planned to the minute.”
