Amid the economic boon that many red states are beginning to experience with companies setting up shops in states like Texas and Florida, Tennessee has also just announced a huge addition.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the news on Twitter in a video where he speaks about the new addition of In-N-Out Burger to the state’s growing roster of massive brands. Lee had this to say about the move:

“Hey Tennesseans, we have some very exciting news today. A great American company, an iconic brand, In-N-Out Burger has decided to place their first corporate hub, in the Eastern United States, right here in Tennessee. In-N-Out Burger is a great family business. They’ve been operating for decades in this country with a value system and a way of serving their customers that lines up just right here in Tennessee. And it means a lot of opportunity and a lot of jobs for a lot of Tennesseeans. We are excited about the opportunity that In-N-Out’s going to bring to Tennessee. Plus, we’re gonna get to have ‘double-double, fries, and shakes’ right here in the great state of Tennessee. Welcome In-N-Out Burger, you’re gonna love it here.”
According to local news outlet Channel 5 News, this move will bring an additional 277 jobs to the state immediately, with restaurants being opened in the Nashville area by 2026. Owner of In-N-Out Burger Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson said this about the move:
“This expansion is significant for our company. For many years, we’ve heard requests from our customers in Tennessee to consider opening locations near them, further east than we’ve ever been. Our customers are our most important asset at In-N-Out, and we very much look forward to serving them in years to come and becoming part of the wonderful communities in the Volunteer State.”
In-N-Out Burger will be making its first foray East of Texas with this moves, as the brand tries to become known less as a California only restaurant and transform into one of America’s favorites across the nation.
Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, the company’s young owner, has been very outspoken in the past about her Christian faith and the way that it influences the way she runs her burger joint. She spent some time talking to the Christian Post, where she discussed the company’s tradition of printing Bible verses onto cups and containers that carry the restaurants food and drink:
“It was my uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early ‘90s, just before he passed away. He had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand. It’s a family business and will always be, and that’s a family touch. In later years, I added verses to the fry boat, coffee, and hot cocoa cups.”
In conclusion, she added the following about the importance of God in her life:
“Picture our lives being a power strip. We plug so many things into the power strip — work, family, hobbies, and God. But that is all wrong. God must be the power strip and everything in our life should be plugged into Him as our power source. He gives us life and then we have His power in everything we do. He shouldn’t be one of the ‘plug-ins’ in our life, but rather we should live plugged into Him and the calling He has for us.”
