Kamala Ally Claims She’s a “Young Politician” Who Will “Be Back”

Despite her landslide loss to President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, reports indicate that Vice President Kamala Harris will not conclude her career in politics with such a resounding loss.  According to an ally of Harris, the outgoing 60-year-old vice president is a “young politician” who “will be back.”

Symone Sanders, who previously served as a senior adviser and chief spokeswoman for the vice president, opined that the United States hasn’t seen the last of Harris.  “I don’t think the world has seen the last of Vice President Kamala Harris,” she said. “I don’t know how she will show up again, but she is a young politician who garnered over 75 million votes in this election, and she will be back.”

Furthermore, The American Tribune reported on similar comments from other advisors close to Harris who have offered a similar sentiment. “What she’s been saying to people over the last couple of weeks, donors, other supporters that she’s been talking with, is you haven’t seen the last of me, I’m not going quietly into the night,” according to CNN pundit Isaac Devore said.

He continued, “Advisors, people close to her, are debating about what that means. They do not want her final official act ever to be essentially certifying Donald Trump’s win over her, especially four years after January 6. And so they look at this governor’s race in California in 2026, and it seems to them like a layup, essentially, that she would probably clear the field or mostly clear the field, and she would get to be governor of California.”

The commentator suggested that Harris might pursue California politics. “It’s a pretty good job, right? It’s good enough for Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jerry Brown and but if she does that, that means that she couldn’t turn around and run for president again in 2028 right?” Dovere noted, outlining the implications of the potential move. “She’d need to essentially declare right away. And that is what it really comes down to because there are people close to her who say she didn’t get a fair shot this this year.”

Dovere echoed the notion from some Democrats who think Harris performed well all things considered. “It wasn’t up to what she could have done. And look how well she performed anyway. She should get to go again in 2028.” However, many still believe Harris’s unsuccessful bid this year marks the end of her presidential aspirations. “And then there are ones who say, look with where things are with Democratic Party, she would not have a clear field, a cleared field rather in the Democratic primary, and could lose the nomination and to come off of 2024 into that would be really terrible,” she said.

Weeks after Election Day, Harris finally broke her silence after losing to Trump, encouraging her supporters to not give up hope. She stated, “I’m thankful for the faith that you put in me and Governor Walz and our team, and I am thankful because I know your character is such that you’re not going to get knocked down, and you’re in this fight, and you’re in it for all the right reasons, and I know that about you.”

“I just have to remind you, don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you,” Harris added, before asserting, “You have the same power that you did before November 5th and you have the same purpose that you did and you have the same ability to engage and inspire. So don’t ever let anybody or circumstance take your power from you.”
