Speaking during an interview on Fox News Digital shortly after she left the Democratic Party in a fiery exit over her conflicting views with it, former top Democratic Party fundraiser Lindy Li slammed Vice President and 2024 Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris for having misused donor funds with her campaign.
Particularly, Li, who served as a high-profile fundraiser for the Vice President, said that the candidate had wasted the billions of dollars she raked in for her presidential bid on favoritism for billionaires like Oprah Winfrey. Li said the misuse of funds, enabled by financial irresponsibility in the campaign, led to her disillusionment and decision to leave the party.
Speaking during the interview with Fox News about how much money the Harris Campaign wasted on nonsense, Li snapped that the campaign had essentially burnt $2.5 billion. She said, “My initial disillusionment became clear when I realized that they spent, they burnt, essentially set $2.5 billion on fire.”
Continuing, she described where she got that figure from, noting that the billion and a half dollars the campaign is quoted as having raised isn’t the full story about her campaign funding. She said, “They raised $1.5 billion through the campaign, another billion through the super PAC Future Forward, and there’s been no accountability.”
Giving an example of how the money was wasted, Li noted that millions of dollars were wasted on an Oprah event. She said, “We still haven’t gotten any answer as to why Oprah—a billionaire—got $2.5 million dollars through her production company. Why couldn’t she pay for it? She’s an oligarch; she could have just covered the production costs herself.”
Giving another example of campaign fund waste, Li noted that half a million was spent on the Las Vegas Sphere, saying, “And not to mention the fact that they spent $450,000 putting Kamala Harris’s face on the Sphere. Now tell me why that would be helpful. Tell me how that would help her win. Obviously, that was an utter failure.”
Li also alleged that many Democratic Party donors are in agreement with her on the Harris Campaign having wasted their dollars. She said, “I haven’t met a single donor who disagrees with me.” She added, after alleging that she has faced a great deal of online vitriol over her stance on Harris, “So this is all happening really quickly for me, but you might see me at the inauguration.”

Building on that, she said that Team Trump has reached out to her and is far better than the DNC. She said, “I don’t want to say too much right now, but somebody on Team Trump already reached out to me. They’ve been incredibly gracious. And on day one, they were kinder to me and more humane than the DNC ever was.”

Previously, Lee slammed Harris for engaging in delusions when thinking about running for the governorship of California, saying, “Right now, Kamala Harris is indulging in delusions of running for governor of California, possibly in 2026 or even president again in 2028. America has said, ‘We don’t want to be coconut-pilled. We do not want Kamala Harris. We don’t want failed border policies.”
