First Lady Melania Trump recently addressed the viral “Trump dance,” which has taken the country by storm as conservatives celebrate the monumental victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election. During an appearance on Fox & Friends, the co-hosts had to get Melania’s reaction to the dance as Americans nationwide are giving their rendition.
Melania was asked by co-host Steve Doocy, “What we have seen since he was elected and over the last couple of months, is that calmness and maybe gratitude, or whatever it is. But something else we’ve seen is he seemed so kind of happy and loose because last night at the Patriot Awards, I think we got a clip … he was doing the Trump dance. And I’m sure, I’m sure you’ve seen that evolve … How do you describe your husband’s dance moves?”
The incoming first lady responded, “Oh, this is a very special and unique dance.” She added, “And I think a lot of people are copying it, and everybody has had fun with it.” Melania was asked if she had partaken in the dance, “Is this how you dance?” She immediately responded, “No.” She was asked again, “Did you give him any tips?” In a joking but also firm manner, Melania decisively responded, “No,” for the second time. “Have you ever done the Trump dance? You are, Mrs. Trump,” Melania was asked yet again, to which she said, “I did not.”
Melania touched on several different topics throughout the wide-ranging interview, such as the family’s preparations to return to the White House. She explained they are very busy preparing for the transition in January. “It’s incredible. And we are very, very busy. The life is the pace of it, the transition team. I’m establishing my transition team, and also working on my office, putting my office together, and also, you know, organizing the residence and packing. And it’s incredible what you need to do when in that situation,” Melania told the co-hosts.
The first lady also spoke about Barron Trump after the co-hosts asked about her son. Barron has been praised for his role in his father’s successful campaign, reportedly providing advisory services on social media and podcast appearances that would improve his reach with the younger generation of voters. “He is a grown young man. I’m very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics and giving an advice to his father,” Melania said.
She continued, “He brought in so many young people he knows his generation, because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They’re all on the tablets, they’re on the phones and all of these podcasts and streamers. He was very vocal, and he gave advice to his father. And was incredible how he brought in a success, because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to.”
Providing advice to mothers, she said, “I think you need to be present and to be with them as much as you can, to be there as as a teacher and guidance. Give them guidance. I think it’s the most important because years goes by so fast. We We just don’t imagine it’s like you I see the clip that you just showed, I feel like it was like a few months ago, right? But the time goes so fast.”
