President-elect Donald Trump recently hosted a massive Thanksgiving celebration at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, with prominent figures such as Sylvester Stallon and Elon Musk. Surprisingly, leftist Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, an opponent of conservatives, even attended the event. Footage from the event showed guests having a delightful time in a joyous atmosphere.
At one point during the evening, Trump sat beside Musk, beating his fist on the table to the beat of “YMCA.” As the chorus approached, the president-elect cued the Tesla founder to join in, to which Musk threw his hands in the air, reminiscent of the time he jumped with joy across a rally stage with Trump on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania.
According to reports, 300 people attended the event, which was open to all members of Mar-a-Lago at $350 per head. An inside source shed light on the dinner, claiming, “It was a lavish buffet with turkey and all the fixings, and literally everything else imaginable,” adding there were “fall-colored [arrangements] were on the table.”
Furthermore, reports indicate that Trudeau attended the dinner just after President-elect Trump threatened to slap tariffs on products from Canada amid the incoming administration’s protectionist stance toward American industry. Notably, the threats from Trump to apply a 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican products seeks to compel the nations into taking a more active role in preventing illegal immigrants from crossing into the United States from their respective countries.
The American Tribune recently reported on a heartwarming Thanksgiving message from President-elect Trump and Melania. Following his decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump offered a unifying message to Americans, calling for everyone to come together as a nation, while citing the history behind the beloved American holiday.
Trump began the message, “My fellow Americans, Melania and I would like to wish you a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving. Nearly 400 years ago, the pilgrims gathered with Native Americans to give thanks to their first harvest just over a year before, in September of 1620 the Pilgrims set sail on the Mayflower to settle a new land where they could live and worship freely.”
“On their first Thanksgiving, they came together to rejoice after their harvest and praise God for His provision,” Trump noted. “Since then, Americans have always remembered the blessings of freedom and the glory of God. In his first year as president, George Washington proclaimed a day of public Thanksgiving and prayer. He asked all citizens to unite in sincere and humble thanks for God’s providence and the founding of our country, and in the midst of the Civil War, President Lincoln made the last Thursday in November a national holiday. He called on Americans to come together with one heart and one voice, to thank God for His gracious gifts, and to ask him to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it.”
“We also thank Americans at home who serve their fellow Americans in need of a helping hand, families who care for the sick, bring food to the hungry and provide a loving home to children across the country this year, in the face of painful hardships, we have seen the incredible strength of the American spirit, neighbors, helping neighbors, strangers, helping strangers and citizens, reaching out for those in need,” Trump added. “And we thank God for the police, firefighters, paramedics and rescue workers who put themselves in harm’s way to save others.”
