Vice President-elect JD Vance recently told a hilarious story about how even his four-year-old doesn’t trust the mainstream media. Speaking to the America First Policy Institute, the Ohio senator recounted a comical moment on the campaign trail when his young son walked up to a group of reporters and called them “fake news” to their faces.
Dressed in formal attire, Vance began his remarks with the story, “You know, people ask me what my favorite day on the campaign trail all the time,” he began. “Clearly the best day of the campaign was the day we won. Maybe the second best day to campaign for all was the day my four-year-old walked into the back of the plane, the Trump Force Two plane, and told the media they were all fake news,”
After the crowd burst out in laughter, Vance’s story got even better. “Then not 15 minutes later our German Shepherd puppy walked back there and took a sh*t,” he said, where once again the audience thought the comments were hilarious. Vance added, “I think that speaks to how we think of the fake news in this movement.”
Vance further joked, “I’m still worried that I’m gonna get accused of domestic terrorism for all the dog did on the plane that day. As the crowd was warmed up from Vance’s hilarious story, he pivoted to a more serious note. “Let me just say that this organization is so important. And the most important thing, that I can say is just thank you for doing what you do.”
The American Tribune reported on other recent comments from the Vice President-elect before the election where he sent a message to illegal immigrants that they should “pack” their bags. “Kamala Harris’ campaign says she has nothing to do with policies from Joe Biden, even though she’s the sitting vice president of the United States. Harris is more of the same broken border policies, more expensive groceries and housing, more of a broken leadership,” he said.
Vance particularly emphasized that illegal immigrants who are criminals should particularly not get comfortable staying in the United States. “Our attitude is, if you came in this country illegally, pack your bags. There are 425,000 illegal alien criminals in the United States of America today — 13,000 of them are murderers, and, of course, a lot of other criminals beyond that,” he added.
The Ohio senator continued, “The message from the Trump administration is simple, pack your bags, because in four months, you’re going home. We do not consent to an invasion of this country for millions of people who shouldn’t be here, and we are going to deport people now. You start with the people who are most dangerous. You start with the most violent criminals. You make it harder for businesses to hire illegal aliens, and you work your way down from there, and I think that’s how you solve the problem of the people who’re here. But if you’re not willing to tell at least some of the people who are in this country illegally that you have to go back, then you don’t have a real border policy. And unfortunately, that’s what Kamala Harris has given this country.”
