Elon Musk’s mother, Maye. recently sounded off on Vice President Kamala Harris during a recent interview, labeling her an “embarrassment to women.” While Maye expressed that she supports female politicians and believes there should be “more presidents that are women,” she called on more qualified women to run for office. Touching on criticism against Harris regarding her common “word salad” commentary, Musk encouraged the vice president to say something that “makes sense.”
Maye said during a recent Fox News appearance, “I do feel that there should be more presidents that are women. However, they need to be able to put a sentence together, or at least have a policy – or at least say something, just something that makes sense. Otherwise, it’s a complete embarrassment for us women.” Further criticizing Harris’s poor representation of women, Musk said, “She should represent women, and she certainly does not.”
The mother of the wealthiest man in the world explained how she has fled the Democratic Party after supporting the left for years after becoming a U.S. citizen. “When I became a U.S. citizen, of course, I was Democratic because they give you that option and because they’re the good kind people who care about America,” Maye said, stating that Republicans were always demonized in the media. “But then, they’d also say Elon is terrible, and I was thinking, why are they lying about Elon?”
Musk noted that she felt relieved once she ended her affiliation with the Democratic Party. “They really just cut into my mind that they just didn’t know what they were doing,” she said. “Then when I resigned from the Democrats, I just felt such a relief that I’m not part of the party that’s now malicious and dishonest.” She further explained how her son was forced to become involved in U.S. politics. “They just want to slow him down and there’s a lot of people behind them that must be paying a lot to stop development in America,” she said.
The American Tribune has reported extensively on Musk’s involvement in national politics, where he endorsed former President Donald Trump earlier this year. The multi-billionaire recently appeared at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania where he emphasized why the election cycle this year is so crucial and that the former president must be reelected.
“We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot,” he said, calling out President Biden. “America is the home of the brave, and there’s no truer test than courage under fire, so who do you want representing America?” he asked the crowd.
He added, “This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote effectively. You’ve got 14 states now that don’t require voter I.D. California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID for voting. I still can’t believe that’s real. So, how are you supposed to have a good, proper election if there’s no ID? It’s meaningless.”
