The Making American Health Again (MAHA) Alliance recently released a “devastating ad” targeting Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The ad, which was led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s former content team, explains that voters are not concerned about Harris’s gender but rather her record in politics.
“Dear Kamala Harris, let’s get one thing crystal clear, the vast majority of our men have no issue with electing a female president,” the ad begins showing various male voters. “Our issue lies solely with you,” the ad continued before diving into her record in California as the state’s attorney general before entering politics at the national level.
“You were second in charge of California for 13 years,” the ad continued, before calling out an initiative of her that sought to prosecute and imprison parents for truancy. “As a prosecutor in law enforcement, I have a huge stick, so I decided I was gonna start prosecuting parents for truancy,” Harris was quoted saying. The footage then features the disapproving testimonies of those who were impacted by the law
Furthermore, the ad featured more clips of direct commentary from Harris where she mocked those who were affected by her law. She further explained how she wanted her prosecutor to look “mean” to the parents who were being prosecuted, “You know what the prosecutors in my office who volunteered to do this, my homicide prosecutors, my gang prosecutors, and they went over there, and I said, when you go over here, look really mean.”
One parent who was arrested as a result of Harris’ efforts recounted her story, saying, “She had me arrested and prosecuted because my handicapped daughter was sick in the hospital, and had missed some days of school.” The ad cut to a clip of Harris seemingly gloating about the power at her fingertips. “I learned that with the swipe of my pen, I could charge someone with the lowest level offense. That person could be arrested. They could lose time from work and their family. Maybe they lose their job. They’d have to come out of their own pocket to help hire a lawyer. They lose standing in their community,” Harris said.
As a woman explained how Harris had turned her family’s life upside down and forced them into homelessness, the ad featured more comments from Harris, stating, “Weeks later, I could dismiss the charges, but their life would forever be changed…all because with the swipe of my pen.”
“You were second in charge of the United States for four years, the ad continued before highlighting various failures of the Biden-Harris administration, such as crime and the economy. The narrator continued, “After 17 years of failed leadership, you’re now asking us to trust you as first in charge of our country.” The woman whose life had been destroyed by Harris’ truancy laws said, “My message to all Americans, do not trust Kamala Harris.”
Speaking to men the ad concluded, “As men and protectors of women and children, you are simply a risk we are not willing to take.” The ad quickly went viral on social media, drawing commentary from conservatives. As one person described it, “One of the most devastating ads I’ve ever seen.” Watch the ad from the MAHA Alliance below:
