During the critically acclaimed interview between Joe Rogan and former President Donald Trump on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the podcast host sounded off on the mainstream media for its overt bias toward the Republican presidential candidate. Rogan asserted that mainstream media news outlets are nothing more than “propaganda arms” for the Democratic Party.
Having his own negative experiences with news outlets, Rogan described the mainstream media as a “creepy corrupt business.” The host then said, “And the media, to a large extent, acts as a propaganda arm for the Democratic Party. Former president Trump, weighed in, “It’s not even believable.” Rogan responded, “Yeah, it’s believe. It’s bizarre to watch.”
However, Rogan pointed out that with the advent of the internet, younger generations appear to be catching onto the propaganda they are being fed from legacy news outlets. “And most you know, most young people, I think, are aware of it.” However, he noted that older Americans still trust the longstanding media institutions. “I think most boomers still, unfortunately, read the newspapers and believe in CNN,” he said.
Trump stated, “But it’s getting younger…” Rogan further said, “Do you know why that is, it’s the internet, because the internet’s giving people information that they’re not getting from anywhere else.” The host explained how this has helped dispel hoaxes propagated against Trump. “Like the very fine people hoax, the Russiagate hoax, all these different things that they’ve done. They tried to you that’s like, it’s a clear distortion of what you actually said,” Rogan emphasized.
Trump added, “The bloodbath hoax… I was talking about, yeah, the auto industry, it’s a bloodbath because Japan and China are taking our auto and I said, it’s a bloodbath. They said, Oh, he used the word blood.” Rogan stressed that this is precisely the work of propagandists who take Trump’s words out of context and pin it against him.
The host said, “But that’s the problem with propagandists, because they take things out of context. And ultimately, what they do is they diminish their own credibility, because people don’t want to listen to them anymore, because they see that they’ve done that, and they recognize what’s going on, and they feel insulted. Their intelligence is getting insulted.” Trump then pointed out that their ratings are suffering as a result.
Watch the clip from the podcast below, one that The Post Millennial described by saying, in a post on X, “Trump and Rogan GO OFF on the corrupt mainstream media spreading hoaxes such as the bloodbath hoax, the very fine people hoax, and the Russiagate hoax”:
The American Tribune reported on another instance from the podcast, where Rogan called out the extreme bias displayed by the moderators during the presidential debate between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. “They fact-checked you and they didn’t fact-check her.” Continuing, he said, “And one of the most egregious examples of that was when she said that there is there are no troops right now deployed in war zones. There’s a very famous viral video that went online of troops in a war zone saying, ‘well what the f**k are we doing then,’ because there’s thousands of them.”
