Cindy Romero, a lifelong Democrat who lives in Aurora, Colorado, recently announced that she will exclusively vote for Republicans in the upcoming election because of her firsthand experiences with illegal immigrant gangs. Romero recently came out with her testimony of how illegal alien gangs had taken over her apartment complex in Aurora, calling Democrats and the media for downplaying the incident.
Romero explained that Democrats have rejected her concerns and expressed indifference to the concerns of American citizens surrounding illegal immigrants. As a result, the lifelong Democrat explained that she would abandon the party and only vote Republican this year. “I’m going to vote Republican down ballot,” she told Fox News Digital. “And I’m going to do it every year until someone does something about this problem. I don’t want my kids to be the next victims of this.”
Romero shared security camera footage showing a group of armed men believed to be associated with the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang forcing their way into a neighbor’s house. According to Romero, there have been numerous violent incidents, including shootings, where a bullet struck her car during one. She added that the police have rarely responded to her calls.
Emphasizing that the unfettered inflow of illegal immigrants must be stopped, Romero called for the “invasion” to stop. “This invasion of these people — and I’m not saying migrants, because there are plenty of migrants that are here legally trying to do the right thing,” she said. “[But] this invasion of bad people, criminals with guns, it can’t be allowed to continue.”
Romero also recently appeared alongside former President Donald Trump at a rally in Aurora earlier this month after her story caught his campaign’s attention. “You’re probably braver than I am,” Trump said, bringing Romero onstage. She told the crowd, “We’ve got to get Trump back in office. We’ve got to get it done.”
Furthermore, Romero explained that the Democratic Party had done nothing to help her amid these concerning incidents. “I haven’t been treated very well by the other people that I’ve reached out to for help,” Romero said in other comments. “I reached out to who I thought would help me because I’m a lifelong Democrat, and I got nothing but pushback and called a liar.”
Calling out the mainstream media for their coverage of the incident, which has downplayed the activity in Aurora and the Denver area. “I guess I didn’t realize there was such a stark difference in reporting from left-leaning media to, you know, center-right leaning media,” she said. “Left-leaning media has denied the problem, downplayed it, said that it was only isolated.”
However, Romero was pleased when former President Trump reached out to her and expressed his desire to hear her story. “I’ve been invited to meet with Mr. Trump, which meant so much to me because nobody would believe me,” she said. “So far, they’re the only ones who have come out and said, ‘Yes, this is going on and we support you.’ It meant a lot to me and it’s life changing, how it makes you feel.”
