Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz was met with loud boos from disgruntled college football fans as the Minnesota governor showed up to a recent game where the University of Michigan played the University of Minnesota. Users on social media reacted to the clip, claiming that it demonstrates the sentiment of the average American.
The clip shows a group of predominantly Michigan fans standing in the rain, loudly booing Walz as he arrived at the stadium. Amid the unwelcoming reaction to Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, one man stood out from the crowd yelling at Walz, “Get out of here!” If the isolated incident is any proxy for the rest of the crucial battleground state of Michigan, it could spell bad news for the Harris-Walz campaign.
“THIS IS BRUTAL! Michigan college football fans BOOED Tim Walz as he entered the stadium for the big game against Minnesota Some were screaming, “GET OUT OF HERE!” This is what happens when they can’t bus in supporters to cheer like robots,” one person wrote on X, sharing the clip of the incident outside the Michigan stadium.
“I’ve yet to meet anyone who actually likes Kamala let alone Walz,” conservative commentator Paul A. Szypula wrote, voicing their perspective that the Harris-Walz campaign is deeply disliked by average Americans. Another user emphatically added in the comments section, “NOBODY LIKES TIM WALZ OR KAMALA.”
A midwesterner in the comments section weighed in with their perspective on the loud booing of Tim Walz. “Being from the MIDWEST I can tell you that I think I wake up in the morning and wonder what that sound is and NOW I KNOW…it’s my neighbors BOOING!! Midwest don’t like this DUDE!” they said, explaining their regional perspective.
“I know the dude in blue rain gear that is booing, lifelong Union Dem, said he cant take a chance on her, he’s to old to suffer more MONITARY LOSS an worried about his kids, grand kids w/open borders. Trump should be saying “Give me 4 years and then you can take a CHANCE ON HER”,” another person wrote, claiming to know a man in the video.

The American Tribune recently reported on former President Donald Trump’s appearance at the recent college football matchup between Alabama and Georgia. In contrast to the clip of Tim Walz being booed, he was met with roaring applause from fans.
“I don’t understand how Kamala is leading by so much in the polls. Yet when her and her counter parts go somewhere they get booed relentlessly. When Trump goes ANYWHERE he gets the loudest standing ovation there is,” one person said. “Wow, that must have been quite a moment at the game! It’s always interesting to see the reactions when public figures show up unexpectedly. It seems like politics can really get people talking, especially with Gen Z getting more involved in voting,” another added.
“That reaction to Donald Trump is spine-tingling It SOUNDED like 100% of the stadium cheered for him. THIS Gen Z crowd knows who the “jobs president” will be. Has Kamala received such a welcome ANYWHERE? EVER? Seems like in addition to everything else, Trump is winning the enthusiasm gap. That translates well for November 5 and earlier,” another person commented. “And this is real-not Astro turfed as paying bus loads to attend a Kamala rally this is America! The America that will throw down the Socialist-Marxist and Communist this Election!!! See ya! Ha ha,” someone wrote.
