Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance recently defended his wife from attacks against her from white supremacists. Speaking with conservative commentator and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, Vance illustrated how much he loves Usha while condemning the criticism he and his family have faced.
During his appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Vance said, “Look, I love my wife so much. I love her because she’s who she is.” He continued, “Obviously, she’s not a white person, and we’ve been accused, attacked by some white supremacists over that. But I just, I love Usha.” He added, “She is such a good mom.”
The American Tribune reported on other remarks from Vance doubling down on his defense against the vile attacks against his wife’s ethnicity. During an interview with CBS’ Face the Nation, host Margaret Brennan brought up the hostile remarks from controversial political commentator Nick Fuentes, who questioned Vance’s choice to marry an Indian woman.
Brennan asked Vance, “In your own movement. That’s what I want to ask about, because one of the supremacists who was saying things like this about your family, Nick Fuentes, an avowed anti Semite, went after your wife, he had previously died at Mar a Lago with Donald Trump. Does this have any room in your movement, in the MAGA movement?”
“Of course, it doesn’t have any room in the MAGA movement. And of course,” Vance responded, before Brennan cut in, “You disavow him?” Vance went on, “And of course Donald Trump has criticized this person. Look, I think the guy is a total loser. Certainly I disavow him. But if you ask me, What I care more about, is it a person attacking me personally, or is a government policy that discriminates based on race, that’s what I really worry about.”
Vance maintained that his focus “is bad government policy that harms people based on their immutable characteristics. Look, a lot of losers are going to attack me and attack my family.” He noted that his stance on the attacks is not to fuel them, telling Brennan, “I think the proper response to them is to ignore them. Don’t feed the trolls, and they largely go away.”
Commenting on JD and Usha Vance, Fuentes reportedly said the Ohio senator “doesn’t value his racial identity or his heritage.” He added, “What kind of man marries somebody named Usha?” He further stated, “JD Vance also has an Indian wife and a kid named Vivek.” He also said, “All his kids have Indian names, so it’s like, what exactly are we getting here?”

The American Tribune also reported on powerful comment from Vance at a recent campaign event where sent told illegal immigrants to “pack your bags” when explaining his deportation agenda. “I think it’s important that we send a message that if you have come to this country illegally, if you plowed into an innocent mom and her daughter and they lost their lives because of your actions,” he said.
The Ohio senator continued, “The message from the Trump administration is simple, pack your bags, because in four months, you’re going home. We do not consent to an invasion of this country for millions of people who shouldn’t be here, and we are going to deport people now you start with the people who are most dangerous. You start with the most violent criminals, you make it harder for businesses to hire illegal aliens, and you work your way down from there.”
