During a recent campaign event in Traverse City, Michigan, Republican Vice Presidential Candidate JD Vance went out of his way to provide assistance to a woman who had a medical emergency during the rally. After receiving medical attention from first responders, Vance sat on the ground with the elderly woman posing for a photograph with her, in a heartfelt gesture.
After the move, demonstrating how much he cares for his supporters, there was an outpouring of praise on social media for the Ohio senator’s actions. Politico national correspondent Adam Wren shared the photo to X, writing, “New: When @JDVance walked off stage in Traverse City, he saw a woman being treated at the medical tent. He and Usha went over to check on her and make sure she was alright, per source familiar. The woman is OK.”
“Totally, it’s heartwarming to hear about people looking out for each other. We need more of that in the world,” one person wrote. “He’s just like Trump. He cares about the people,” another added applauding the character of Vance and Trump. “An absolute gentleman. And Usha is awesome too. These are authentic people. Genuine, sincere and godly. And look how he is sitting there and relating. I love it ! Thank you, guys !” another person said, praising Vance.

During the event in the critical battleground state, Vance promoted former President Donald Trump’s platform, urging voters int the state to get out and vote as to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris in November. “I’m a firm believer that we ought to have Election Day instead of election season. But it is what it is, my friends. We’ve got election season,” Vance said in his remarks at the rally. “It is here, at least for now, and so we’ve got to play by the rules, and we got to play to win.”
Vance drew attention to the grassroots efforts Republican have been organizing in the state, promoting the GOP. “I’m thrilled with what I see from grassroots Republicans across the state and the work that they’re doing,” he added. “Putting together this event, volunteers knocking on doors, making phone calls, putting up signs, what can you do now? Vote.”
The Trump and Vance have campaigned hard in Michigan, particularly focusing on the heavy presence of the auto industry in the mid-western state, claiming the economic consequences of a Harris presidency would obliterate the industry impacting many blue-collar workers.
“Michigan prides itself on being the auto capital of the world, and it’s the backbone of Michigan’s economy,” according to a statement from the Trump-Vance campaign ahead of the event. “President Donald J. Trump has shown time and time again that he is dedicated to supporting and rebuilding the auto-industry, starting with encouraging American manufacturing jobs.”
