Speaking during an interview on the Lex Fridman podcast, former President Donald Trump said that he has “no problem” with releasing the documents on Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious child predator, pervert, sex offender, and financier who brought numerous high-profile individuals to his Little St. James island in the Caribbean.
Trump’s comments on the matter came when the two discussed the fact that many documents on Epstein and his operation have not seen the light of day and that Trump could and seemingly will release them if he manages to win the presidential election in November. Trump knew Epstein through social life in New York and Palm Beach, where both lived.
Trump commented on the personal knowledge he gained of Epstein during his interview with Fridman, saying Epstein was “a good salesman” who conned a lot of people through is wealth and salesmanship, using his numerous exciting assets, such as his private plane and privately-owned island, to bring people on board even if they weren’t knowledgable or tolerant of his sick perversions.
Speaking about Epstein’s personality and how he’d draw big-name people to his private island, Trump said, “He was a hale and hearty type of guy. He had some nice assets that he’d throw around, like islands, but a lot of big people went to that island.” He added that he didn’t go to the sick island, saying, “But fortunately, I was not one of them.”
That is when the client list came up, as Fridman noted that the list containing a bevy of Epstein clients who traveled to the so-called “pedophile island” has still not been released by the government despite Epstein being dead and Ghislaine Maxwell, his longtime associate and sometime lover, being locked up on charges related to her involvement with him.
Trump, commenting on the “interesting” nature of the case and suggesting that he would be the one to release the Epstein client list, said, “It’s very interesting, isn’t it? It probably will be, by the way, probably.” Continuing on that same note, Trump said that he would “certainly take a look at it,” and that he would “be inclined to do” it, meaning release the list.
Watch that here:
Commenters on a post that drew attention to the comment on X were largely supportive of the measure, saying things like, “I sincerely hope his security has been beefed up. These people will do anything to keep him out of office and keep their secrets private” and “As he should! It should have been done by now. We don’t need child predator CEOs of big corporations still in power.”
Another commenter said that what really matters is stopping the horrific child trafficking industry, saying that the list will hopefully help stop children from being trafficked. That commenter said, “The MOST thing of importance is to STOP the child trafficking! Releasing the list will really began that asap!” Another commenter suggested that the national security establishment will stop him, claiming that it had done so in the past. That commenter said, “No he won’t, Mike Pompeo will threaten him again. He wanted to release the JFK stuff but Mike Pompeo stopped him.”
